This kid is a great swiss army knife type. Reminds me of Kirilenko. His shooting is not as bad as I thought, even though he's only hitting 30% from 3. Tate and KJMJ will be great role players into their early 30's and similar players to the 2017-2018 wing defenders (Ariza, Moute, Tucker) which brought us so much success. Anyone who paid attention was mesmerized by our beautiful defense that year. Losing Ariza and Moute was stupid, the 3-headed wing defense was filling in for us not having a 3rd All Star and we were never in trouble if Paul had to rest except against the most talented team in NBA history. Hopefully we can get them on good contracts that don't get in the way of a max FA slot.
THis is actually a really good comp imo. Even though he was on the Jazz, I loved AK47's game. He was great before his injury and a big thorn in Yao's Rockets.
While KPJ has played in a total of 53 games in the nba. And C Wood a total of 131 games. So game wise they are a rookie and a second year player lol.
AK47 best trait was his defense. I can't say for sure at the moment if KMJ is good at defense or not...lol...
I want this kid to stay. Once he improves his 3pt shot and learns to be a little more crafty on defense. He's going to be GOOD! He is going to be the definition of mismatch issues for other teams. Reminds me alot of Robert Covington.
The G-League was great for him. He looked so lost during the first month or so of the preseason and opening games. He’s still mistake prone but at least he makes more decisive moves. His athleticism and weak side shot blocking are very useful. Does he have the wingspan to play up a position a PF?
He’s 6’7”? If he can play 3 and develop some offense, he’s going to be really good. He needs to model his game after Shawn Marion.
Hopefully not, long term he's the perfect fit at 4 next to Sengun. Decent shot and still improving, elite athleticism, weak side shot blocker, never tries to do too much, cuts when Al P is in the high post, great finisher. Don't know why the hell we would be trying to trade this kid.
