Calling gibson a PG is generous. He was not a good passer. TJ ford on the other hand...

Depends on how stupid the GMs picking 25-32 are.

For the life of me I have no freaking clue what you guys wanted out of a PJ trade.

Everyone was being all pissy about Rafa demanding a young player. Now he gets an extra first rounder (for our second rounder), extends the window on that unprotected pick (not a terrible gamble tomake) and y'all are mad.

    It's annoying.

Remember how Morey could (or would) NEVER EVER EVER move up in the draft? NEVER?

We were on our way to get a second rounder that might’ve not even converted.. This trade improved an asset. Gave us another young big to check out, and possibly a tradeable contract in DJ.

This was more than I expected for a none playing player.

We gave them a PJ, got 2 DJs and a swap. That's the Kurucs of it all.

Yeah, not sure what's not to like about this trade, we swap a 30/35 with a 25, we trade a guaranted late 1st for an uprotected 1st that's less guaranted to be meh since in two years a lot can change, and 2023 is in fact exactly when th Rockets could start thinking about moving picks in a trade.

Guys like PJ, role players of that age on expiring contracts usually get traded for a 2nd round pick if not bought out, this is a pretty good trade by Stone, and has some potential to turn into something better too.

You might have lost some objectivity right there.

A 35 year old on an expiring contract was just used to effectively move us up anywhere from 5 to 10 spots in the draft and we are complaining? Not to mention MIL rolling dice on next year, clear this year they’ll be in that 22 - 26 range. Seems like a huge win to me, am I missing something??

Upgrading picks (even slightly) is not nothing. Not sure what people were expecting. Bye 0 point pj.

yeah and one could argue the upgrades are not slight. 2023 unprotected could really be significant. And in a deep draft like this year, having another 1st rounder is awesome. I don’t see how anyone could be disappointed in this trade. Have folks seen Tucker play this year? He’s not the PJ of yesteryear

The trade got rid of a player that wanted out. He wasn't going to net us a star. Stone honestly hasn't been impressive at all. He's not terrible just definitely not the level that Morey was.

So who won the poll of Tucker being first one traded?

Bump it back up so we can see

    I agree with you Cod.

Rockets are obviously not dealing with 76ers for personal reasons even though 6ers have better young players and more FRP.

I hope Stone has another team he can package DJ Agustin and another vet Rocket (Dipo, BMac, House) for 1 young player with upside and FRP. If not Heat then Knicks.

This trade is not great, but it doesnt completely suck either.

People are expecting nba to get rid of the 1 and done rule. And one of these drafts will have high school kids.
