I just saw on TicketBastard's website that the Pixies are extending their tour through the end of the year and will be playing Reliant Arena in Houston on Sunday October 17th. Tickets will be $35 each. Don't know when they go on sale.

    That is all. Carry on.

and Reliant Arena sounds like crap. Horrible acoustics in that place.

Plus I just don't pay more than $10-12 for a show, especially at a horrible, unintimate venue. Growing up on $3-7 punk/indie shows where the bands actually socialize with the crowd has spoiled me.

They ought to just play two back to back dates at Verizon Wireless. By the way, did anyone notice that Todd Rundgren will be playing there in a few weeks?

    that wasn't their fault.

a 3rd party lighting company blew a fuse by plugging their lighting into the same circuit as the PA or whatever. I don't know anything about this kind of stuff, but apparently it made putting on the show impossible.

Anyway, didn't you have agig or something that night? You'll be pleased to know they're playing a makeup show, so hopefully you can attend.

    FYI

The Pixies are also playing at the Austin City Limits Music Festival in September.

    I'll be seeing both shows.

I can't wait for them to get here!

They are also working with Disclive.com on this tour and they are burning 1000 copies of each show they do and selling them for $25 - If I can't get to see them live I will for sure get a copy of the show.

    Disclive info

Edit: I went back and looked at the site and they may just be copies of the April Shows. There are still a few available.
