If you include Exum & Rivers to Magic + Tucker & BMac to Knicks, you generate a $21M TPE for Rockets IJS
That TPE is 100% going to be used if there are multiple trades. You can fit multiple players into a 10M exception. Any smart organization (the Rockets fall under this) keep their TPE's as fresh as possible. You don't have to take on extra money, you just absorb players into them essentially creating a new TPE that could be bigger and will definitely last longer. So say the Oladipo trade was for 3 guys, 1 fits into a 3M Exception, 1 fits into a 10M exception and the final fits into a 5M exception. You're sending out 21M, you're getting let's say 18M in contracts but you're creating a new 21M exception.
Brandon Clarke and Aaron Gordon are almost the same player. They definitely play the same role/position in Grizz system. Weird rumor.
i don’t see the Rockets taking on salary but I do see them using them to create new bigger TPEs. Stone always does this. Let’s get AG and KZ while using a TPE!
Kirk Goldsberry and Zack Lowe. More of as a throw away comment. Had to go back; was towards end around 52 min mark on Lowe's podcast latest episode. Correction the rumbling was Minnesota (not Memphis) calling with interest. Both guys heard Minny. Interest is whatever, there are probably one of several teams.
Minny makes much more sense, T-Wolves have coveted AG for a bit now. Interesting that both Stone and Gershon are both trying hard to catch the AG train.
Luka was traded from 3rd for 5th and future 1st. It is much more rare the earlier it is in the draft. Remember Eddie Griifn? Also, Cwebb and Anfernee on draft day.
