Like many of you, I've watched the way the NBA operates for eons now. Considering the confluence of events over the last several years(and a few other factors), I'm positive that our cadaverous Commissar will ensure a top 4 pick, if not #1. It's their modus operandi.
I think I ruined the poll by first voting not rigged. I think certain refs can be biased. But lottery rigging? Is it possible, I suppose. And maybe fun to joke on. IMO, no. Motivation wise... Why would he? Every year some four teams are going to be on the bottom. Is he going to risk things just because? Parity in the NBA is nice to say; but isn't super teams the trend now? I don't think he personally hates the Rockets. But I don't think he favors us above other teams either. We're also not the golden child warriors. If he wants to influence, he can just change the draft rules instead of risking reputation backdoor helping or sabotaging. The odds are what they are.
OKC is fine they don’t need a top pick. Maybe the rockets fans should act like they don’t care about basketball anymore and Adam Silver gives it to us to “save the Houston basketball market”
I'm more concerned with your Avatar, where is it? May I suggest Jeff Bridges in a robe, what, it's been taken? How about a cat in a robe? Tiger playing with a mouse? Dragon mauling a tiger?
Silver's over there saying "what's the best way of stopping people from thinking the draft is rigged? Well, they're probably thinking we're going to gift them for the whole Harden thing, so ..... let's just move the Rockets to Seattle. Yup... that'd do it."
Sure, there’s a shadowy conspiracy at the highest ranks of the league I suppose fantasy is more entertaining than discussing our reality.
Silver might hate us, but OKC is the red headed stepchild of the NBA. He cant wait to move it back to SEA.
The NBA didn't do any favors to help the Hinkie Sixers and they still ended up with Embiid, and ultimately Simmons so if you suck this bad chances are you'll get a chance in the draft. 54% though with us this year so we might not have a decent pick this year, but next year it's tankapalooza so get ready for that. The most important aspect of whatever happens the next two years in the rebuild will be Rafael Stone... who needs to hit it out of the park especially with the 2022 pick, and be ready for the 2021 pick in case we get lucky and end up in the top 4. The Yao lottery pick year though was suspect. Seemed very rigged.. but I definitely looked the other way for years.
hope not. we need to be tanking for the rest of this decade. it's the tillmen business model to save moneys
