EGO'S contract really isn't bad at all. To a team like ours in rebuild mode it doesn't make sense, but to a contender it's kinda a great deal.

If we could tweak it and get that bearded guard from the Nets. Is very good and he seems to never get hurt.

Those contracts are two of the best in the league, no need to include a first? If anything, we'd be more likely to get a late 1st for them, although that is probably too much. 1sts are used to dump people making 40 million like John Wall, not people making 3 or 4 million.

The delusion was that this team was good enough to compete so Harden should have stayed. Saying it could have snagged the 8 seed or play-in spots wasn’t delusional. The shooting and offense would always be a struggle but Wall, Oladipo and Nwaba is a pretty elite point of attack defense and Wood was improving every game as a drop defender.

The WOW trio looked great together and then they all fell apart with injuries. It’s still inconclusive. I don’t see how anybody can say ‘see we just lost 15 in a row, you were delusional!’ When we have gone from that to Sterling Brown and Justin Patton starting. It’s a different team.

I figured out the one roster tweak that could save the Rockets

    Wall/ Oladipo/ Gordon/ Tucker/ McLemore/ Kurucs/ Exum

    Traded for

    Harden/ Durant/ Harris/ Claxton/ Green

I know the Rockets are giving up more players in this scenario, so they might need compensation like a draft pick also from BKN. Maybe add another on.

BKN will totally go for this because they are getting more players.

Houston line up after the "one tweak to save them all"

    PG Harden/ KPJr/ Jones
    SG House/ Nwaba/ Brown
    C Wood/ Claxton/ Green/ Patton
    PF Durant/ Tucker/
    SF Harris/ Tate / KJMJr/

I know this is a bit unrealistic because House is starting at SG (I'm not an idiot). But it is a move that could make us a contender, and imagine how bad the Nets picks could get if all the players we trade them get injured.
Totally risky giving up so many players without the Neta sacrificing picks. So maybe Houston shouldn't do it?

    Serious thoughts??

LOL. You can't be serious. Have you seen YouTube? Swapping Wall for Harden would crumble our defense.

Yall idiots know that half the team including its best player has been out since they haven't won a game right? In a scenario where they are not actively trying to tank, shipping pj for an empty roster spot would have helped since he was by far the worst player on the team. Moot point now.

We had one of the easiest schedules in the league during that win streak you goof ball. You’re point was always a stupid one.why did not having PJ not help us the last two games??? We still got blown out by 30. Woods is not gonna come back and make everything better.

You’re right about the easy schedule but mediocre teams drop games against bad teams. One big indicator of a great team is consistency against the dregs of the league. I’m not arguing that this was a contender, but if we assume no injuries to any of our starters, I believe this current roster was for sure a playoff team, and I don’t think that’s outrageous or laughable to claim.
