I keep wondering when he's going to go up on Sportscenter but it feels like it's been over a month since that TV series and I still haven't seen the man anchor a show of Sportscenter or any broadcast that ESPN does. Was it all one big fake fiasco? Is he just stuck as a columnist for now?
I was wondering the same thing. Then I thought he was just stuck on ESPN news, since I don't get that station right now. Where's he at?
Dude, I'm so with you. I've been waiting for him to co-host with Stuart Scott... but nothing. Perhaps he's undergoing extensive training at the moment?
I was wondering the same thing the other day since i have yet to see the guy. I dont watch sportscenter regularly but i catch the 5:00 one at least a few times a week. I watch ESPN news frequently and he hasnt turned up on there either.
Im sure that he is off training of something before he gets his chance at actually hosting the show. He will have to work his way up etc etc. I doubt they would just drop him on tv like that without training him a bit about things.
apparently a bunch of people have been wondering the same thing. i've had that discussion with several people in the past few days. weird.
Was wondering the same thing as well. I though for sure we would see him on ESPNews jockying the graveyard shift of something, but nothing. BTW, Zach has found himself a job. There is a show coming up called Extreme Dodgeball (or something like that) in which he will be an announcer. I think it is showing up on the Game Show Network?
Wow, I TOO was just wondering what happened to him and all I saw of the show was one episode and an assload of comercials.
Yea... I read this somewhere. He has to graduate, guys... after he does that, he'll be working at ESPN full time.
I too wondered the same thing last night. I don't get ESPN news, but I did last night, and that is what triggered the thought for me.
'DREAM JOB' ON HOLD FOR SCHOOL By MICHAEL STARR April 1, 2004 -- ESPN's "Dream Job" winner, Mike Hall, will graduate from college after all before starting his new gig as a "SportsCenter" anchor. Hall, a senior at the University of Missouri, had told The Post that he might delay his graduation to immediately start his new, $95,000-a-year job at ESPN. "We think that, for everyone involved, it's best for Mike to tie up loose ends and finish with his college degree before making the move to [ESPN] headquarters in Bristol [Conn.]," an ESPN spokeswoman said yesterday. "It works best for everyone." Hall beat out 10,000 candidates - including three other college students - to win the reality show last Sunday, which included a new Mazda 3 as a prize. ESPN had indicated that Hall would begin the job immediately, meaning he would have to delay his graduation. Insiders say Hall met with ESPN brass on Tuesday, telling them he would prefer to graduate on time before starting his on-air job - a scenario to which they agreed. "They figured why not? He only has seven weeks left, and during that time he can deal with the logistics of finding an apartment," said one source. "We can now say we have a 100 percent graduation rate," said an ESPN spokesman. Hall will appear on ESPN about once a week before he graduates in order to acclimate himself with the network and with the "SportsCenter" producers. http://www.nypost.com/entertainment/17891.htm
