Trump's legal troubles (including Civil) are now not reliant on politics only. Before, Trump had the protection of the DOJ memo that took the stance that presidents cannot be prosecuted, and in that withholding of that stance IN COURT over and over again over the past 4 years that a president can be prosecuted after leaving office. Trump's legal issues while in office that looked political only helped him because it was Impeachment that was the one remedy for holding him accountable.

So yeah if Swalwell brought this case, and Trump had Bill Barr immunity, and impeachment was the only remedy, sure... this would look political and give Republicans talking points so they wouldn't support impeachment.

Swalwell's case might help with FoxNews coverage, but if that case has the parameters to cause Trump legal damage, then of course it's not good for Trump. Only positive will be that maybe they will be able to use it for grassroots fundraising... but Trump's donors are going to get worked up and give him their hard earned money regardless.

I've been "out of bed" plenty during the pandemic. Hawaii, Minnesota a handful of times, about to make my third trip to Disney, Texas twice, going to NYC in June as long as travel restrictions loosen a bit, Africa in October.

And I always wear my mask as necessary.

Two men have been arrested for allegedly spraying a chemical on Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick and two other law enforcement officers, during the Jan. 6 storming of the U.S. Capitol. Sicknick died one day later; officials have recently said they're still determining what factors might have led to his death.

The two men are Julian Elie Khater, 32, of State College, Penn., and George Pierre Tanios, 39, of Morgantown, W. Va. They were arrested Sunday, charged with "conspiring to injure officers and assaulting federal officers" and other crimes, the Justice Department says.
