Thybulle is too inconsistent to be a starter on championship team. Already 24, elite defender but shooting 3ball 29% this season. Shot 35% from 3 last season. Was career 35% 3P in college. Thybulle is better off on younger team where he would be free to develop his offense.
My ideal scenario for this trade deadline has a couple of pipe dreams but it was fun to construct. Trade 1 Hou receives Nnaji and Hampton TPE in size of Tuckers contract Den receives Tucker, House, and Brown Rationale: Hou: Very intriguing young guys that have showed to be dogs on defense with shooting potential in Nnaji and slashing in Hampton. The TPE generation also maximizes flexibility either to take on bad contracts or generate bigger TPEs Den: Hard IMO to sell on those young guys but you are getting an established vet to help the defense coupled with a guy like brown who has proven he can shoot and defend. Couple this with the flashes of potential in House I think they’d go for it without the addition of picks. Trade 2 Hou in: Aminu and Bamba Orl in: Exum Rationale Hou: Pick up a flyer on a young intriguing big with the possibility of flipping Aminu next year as well. More flexibility Orl: Gets out of the tax this year and sheds salary for next year as well Trade 3 Hou in: Wiggins mulder Minny pick/Wiseman GSW in: Oladipo, Gordon, Nwaba Rationale: Hou: Take on salary in Wiggins for a potential high lottery player. I’d rather take the Minny pick but whatever GSW is willing to give up is gravy GSW: I think they are incentivized to see their dynastic team off into the sunset. This trade gives them 3 role players that beef them up for a run this year and offer support for next year (they retain oladipos bird rights and Oubre non bird) that doesn’t really compromise their shooting or perimeter defense. That Minny pick may not be as great as expected if not conveyed this year since Minnys team on paper when healthy isn’t half bad. I think they gamble the pick away for 3 guys that solidify their wing and guard rotation Trade 4 Hou in: Powell, Bledsoe, Joseph, Lamb, Dallas lottery protected first, Sacramento protected first, Indiana lottery protected first, Whichever 2 late picks pelicans want to send from their stash of picks between LAL/MIL/NOP Mia in: Wall Dal in: Iggy Pelicans in: 16 million TPE Sacramento in: Myers Leonard Indiana: Bradley Harkless Trade is first a three team trade between Houston Miami and NOP. I think heat might take the risk for Wall since they lose nothing and the Fa pool has run dry. Beal Ante and oladipo with the above trade are likely not in the cards for them anymore. This trade gives them a player who fits the culture and takes away none of their youth. NOP do the trade to open up cap space and flexibility for a Bledsoe who doesn’t really fit their core. They trade three year contract and late picks for cap and a huge TPE. we then jettison off the expirings from Miami tto take on a bad 3 year deal for Powell and help cap situation of small market teams IND and SAC for lottery protected picks leaves us with KPJ/Joseph Hampton/Bledsoe/Lamb Wiggins/Nnaji KJM/Aminu Wood/Bamba/Powell In an ideal we get picks 1 and 4 and get Cade and Green this year and then have a bevy of picks including all of BKN/2MIL/1LAL/SAC/WAS/PDX/DET/IND to add on to the new core of KPJ Green/Hampton Cade/Nnaji Wood Bamba with all those previous contracts and TPEs Available for flexibility I know let a man dream.
Agreed pretty ridiculous. But I can see mid market small teams giving up their bad contracts for a lottery protected or hell make it 1-20 protected pick
Trade deadline predictions: Oladipo stays: offseason sign and trade with Miami because Miami won’t have cap space. Can probably get a solid deal Eric Gordon: stays wall: stays Tucker: gone Ben McLemore: gone Exum/House/Sterling brown in play. it’s not gonna be as crazy as y’all think
https://tradenba.com/trades/Rp7ykDo9W Just throwing out a John Wall Trade. I think Heat would agree with trade, base this on the recent rumblings of them improving there pg role, and they think wall would add much value around Butler and Bam. Gives them a legit 3. Wall gives them a better option. Wall is a step up from Dragic, which would work out better for them. Nunn very young pg who still got alot of time to reach his full potential, but has alot. Plus 2 expiring, will be the result of this trade, and getting a pick down the road.
That is a lot of OLD players on a rebuilding team. And we already know that Silas goes out of his way to pay deference and give them playing time, sometimes unearned, to vets than our young players.

Keep forgetting Smart is 'only' 27. Williams is perfect fit for roster in desperate need for size. Moves Patton/Lamb further down the bench. Makes bench that much more physical. Then VO to NYK or MIA for additional assets and roster improvement. Still believe Knox' career is salvageable. He is hitting 39% from 3. Would love any combo of Achiuwa, KZ, or Silva. Rockets will have plenty of athleticism, need shooters. So Robinson is interesting. Don't know what his market rate will be to re-sign, but it is what it is.
lol at KPJ being included think he’s the only thing untouchable on our team I could get behind the Spurs trade if they are flipping to a third team for younger assets
Rockets are stupid for not wanting to deal with 76ers. Or maybe 6ers no longer trust that Rockets will deal honestly.
The first one is actually perfect imo. Both of them are expiring afaik. Get rid of Wall and Gordon for the future and books are cleared after the season. The second trade however is absolutely unacceptable and one of the worst ones I've seen.
Of course we would do this. The reality is we would probably need to throw in a couple of FRP's and I still don't think Miami would take on that contract.
