Why am I so sure that KPJ will be an all-star if he doesn't get kicked out of the league. It's because of how slow the games seems to him. He is like Doncic and Harden in that regard. He plays at his own pace and defenses really don't seem to rattle him and speed him up.
The kid definitely shows some promise. The pace flows well while hes out there and he seem comfortable at point. He has sneaky bounce and good athleticism but seldomly has to rely on it considering how much skill he has. It seems the Harden trade landed us some type of bright spot until the draft because the Levert swap for Oladipo was ridiculous.
After KPJ's second game. Can't believe it, but like Wood we really struck on this guy and our hope have been confirmed.
The KPJ/Wood pick and roll should be our main staple for the rest of the season but I'm confident Wall and Dipo are going to ruin that.
One of those two won’t be here. But Wall - he’s sitting back salty looking at this like “oh hell no this 20 year old young star ain’t coming for my job” “no franchise keys for you young buck” (Brad Beal enters the chat)
I want to see him more aggressive. Every time he gets in a pick & roll good things happen. He's CLEARLY the best playmaker on the team. He needs to work on his 3 but for the most part I keep forgetting he's only 20
I watched the KP highlights (see for yourself) - and may be reaching here - but I didn’t see Wall clap once for a KP scoring play - assuming that was Wall rocking the blue sweat suit last night. I’m telling you - it’s going to get awkward.
Honestly I was just watching the kid's highlights. He played with real poise on offense. His mid range shot is good. His 3 ball jumper can improve with practice and a little tweaking. It isn't broke. Defense will require a lot of hard work and effort, but he can get a few steals right now. Nwaba and Tate can help him on defense. My gut feeling is that Wall and Oladipo will hog the ball and cause the kid to throw another tantrum. This would be tragic. Young potential stars like KPJ don't grow on trees or come very often for a second round pick. Silas has to stamp his authority as a head coach. It's put up or shut up time for him.
