Moises Alou didn't deny a report on ESPN.com that he occasionally urinates on his hands before games to guard against calluses and harden his hands enough to swing without batting gloves. The Cubs left fielder said he didn't know where he learned the habit. But Alou was not happy that the item was leaked out, so to speak. He said he told a reporter that story in confidence last week when the Cubs were in Arizona. He asked that it not be used in a public format. The humiliating anecdote was a great source of amusement to his teammates. Sammy Sosa, in particular, had some teasing remarks about the situation. ''I'm not giving him a high-five ever again,'' Sosa said, jokingly. Sosa then demonstrated how he would made contact with Alou from now on. He thrust out his forearm to show how he planned to celebrate in the future with Alou -- forearm-to-forearm, not hand-to-hand.
