If there was a pick of any value that Stone could have got for PJ weeks ago, but held out to get more, and now is entertaining buying out PJ for nothing, that's a pretty tough pill to swallow.

The issue is PJ's agent has probably already manufactured behind closed doors the team he's going to go to once bought out, and has let the other teams know that he's signing with that other team in the off season most likely, and doesn't want to be there so don't trade for him.

I'm afraid that PJ is much more likely to get bought out at this point because of this. It'll seem inevitable soon to Stone that he's going to X team, and the market for him will be pretty much non-existent.

    Hope he proves me wrong.

I really don’t have a problem with this.

While Tucker has probably played less than Tuck like this year, he’s served his purpose with the Rockets.

Tucker is at the end of his career and wants a chance to win a title. He’s busted his ass to get and stay in this league. He changed his game here to better help the team, he’s always had the toughest assignments on D.

What more do you people want from him? He’s been a good soldier this year and has kept any negativity out of the media. It’s not like he’s a malcontent. The team is clearly rebuilding so let him have his chance somewhere else.

Do this man a solid and trade him to a contender or release him so he can go where he wants to.

It's what I would do if I was Stone, but Tillman will have a say in saving money via a buyout. That's why I think a buyout is actually very likely.

Well I say at least he had enough sense to not play and run the risk of getting hurt and being stuck here for the rest of the year like what happened to Eric Gordon.

Stop playing these guys if you’re actively trying to trade them! They become worthless as soon as they get a bad sprained ankle or pull a hamstring. People already know what Eric Gordon and Tuck bring to the table. Playing either of them was always going to be the wrong decision.

Oladipo is a little more complicated because teams may not really be sure on him, but honestly, if he gets hurt in the next 2 weeks, we’re fu**ed. Period. Get what you can before it’s too late. A bird in the hand...

He was also killing his value by playing on this team.

It’s pretty clear that Tucker has a highly inflated opinion of himself to say the least.

PJ is more valuable to a contender than Aldridge. Most Contenders need defensive minded hustle players over, old stars that are a liability on defense.

I repeat.... do not forget the Tillman affect which is what PJ's agent will sell to the team in order to get them to waive him ASAP so he can go wherever he wants.

Don't be silly... PJ is not in the universe of Lamarcus Aldrige. Just because he filled his role good 3 years ago doesn't mean he is some super role player anymore. Matter of fact he been net negative lately

The only way Tilman saves money is if Tucker is traded for zero salary and draft compensation. PJ is not going to give back even $2 mil. He's 35 years old.

I want to reiterate again that I don’t think Eric Gordon should’ve been playing either if we were actively trying to trade him. People know what Eric can do. As soon as somebody offered us ANYTHING to clear that contract from the books he should’ve been on the first plane out of town with no time to even gather up his stuff before they changed their minds. Escort his ass out the building with security and we will box your stuff up and ship it to you. Thank you for you constant grumpy meme faces and all the fun.

My guess is his agent is negotiating on a hand shake deal this Summer with the team he's wanting to go to. Even if it's Brooklyn, I'm pretty sure they'll at least have the mid level to offer, and that might be worth it for PJ to ride into the sunset on a contender the next 2 seasons.

Giving up 2 Million..... I don't think PJ would give up that much, but my guess is if it saves Tillman a couple kegs of beer at Bubba Gump's, he'll jump at that opportunity.

He's negative on a team with no stars. He still valuable on the Nets.

Aldridge is washed and over the hill. Was Aldridge a better player than PJ? Of course, but is he currently? I don't really think so. He's a defensive liability and the Spurs played soo much better when he was injured starting Poetl. Good teams don't need offense.

everyone he knew and love from the previous years is gone...set this man free and let him go be happy somewhere else

If Morey wantsTucker for a playoff run he will trade for him. Same as any other GM that needs a defensive upgrade. You wont get a 1strd pick but you probably weren't going to get that for Tucker anyway with the way he's played this year.
