This is dreaming, teams can just sign better guys from the G league. We are stuck with these two unless they are attached in a bigger trade somehow.
Team wants to win now, push this season for some glory. Using a 2nd on McLemore's sniping is a win now move. Signing G league players is something a team like, say, the Rockets...are trying to do. Which, call it what you want but "winning now" probably isn't accurate.
McLemore is streaky, doesn't set up other players, plays soft on defense and the boards. House is a marginal NBA player even when he's engaged, which he seems not to be since he got his contract. A team in win now mode could save their draft pick and sign Armoni Brooks to a two-way.
I'm not in any understanding of the people who keep asking for everyone we get to be traded. I'm fine w/ trading Dipo. Wall, I'm not so sure. I don't like him but he's a marketable product if I'm the owner. Wall's value will increase in the future, that's for sure. Pure dollars and cents, I see Wall sticking around and Dipo getting traded.
I wouldn't read too much into it. It's boring to write an article about a team that's going to be just terrible with almost no hope for short term success - which is way closer to the reality, Christian Wood or not. I mean: . What if the Rockets come out of the break recharged, refreshed and reel off five wins out of their next seven games? Things could get interesting. OK, what if they did? What if they somehow, came out and beat the Kings, lost to the jazz the next night, somehow beat the celtics on their 3rd game in 4 nights, and then, with 3 more games in 4 nights, went 2-1 vs. AtL, GS, Det, and then 72 hours later beat the Thunder on March 21?| The very next night they get the Raptors. And it doesn't get easier from there. The Rocketa have a RIDICULOUSLY hard schedule loaded with playoff teams and back-to-backs and 3-in-4 and 5-in-7's. There's 20 days left in march after today and the Rockets have games on 13 of them! April and May don't pack in as many games but it's loaded up with clutchfans-certified real contenders. 3 games against the Clippers. 2 against the Jazz. 2 against the Bucks. Other than home games against teh Magic and the TWolves, there are almost no fellow bottom feeders left on the schedule. After they play the 76'rs, teh Rockets do a Milwaukee- Utah b2b road trip, then get to close out the home season with Blazers-Lakers-Clippers. I don't care how good Porter Jr and Wood are - unless playoff teams go DNP-Rest or Protocols on us, it would be a miracle for this team to win more than 10 games the rest of the year.
Well, Silas isn't a player. I think Silas is throwing semi veterans out there and still not winning enough games.
Lol. What if? What if Chris Paul started eating hormone injected beef in March 2019? The Sacramento game tomorrow is probably one of the 5 most theoretically winnable games on the remaining schedule. The tank and the turret are aligned.
Armoni Brooks plays better, much better, defense than Ben McLemore. And is NOT on a shooting slump. In fact, Snipa is best 3 ball shooter in entire G League.
We have said this all along, Silas is too invested in "his" players instead of what is best for the organization. Rockets need to sell Wall and Dipo ASAP to protect Silas from himself.
I don't disagree with anything really, except that McLemore is NBA proven shooter and Brooks isn't. Win now teams probably look at McLemore first.
Agree. Just saying I'd rather sell BMac then sign Snipa to 2 way. McLemore no longer makes sense on this Rockets team.
