They showed his wife and the baby after he won so he was definitely trying to hand the ball off. It’s all good. He’s a b**** though.
LeBron should have gotten MVP. He's 36 and leading his team to a blowout win. Who cares if everyone else played better.
Perfect scenario for Giannis. Playing with a boatload of actual alphas to carry the load. His dunking and occasional lucky banking a three in approach worked. Mainly because neither, especially the former, were barely contested. And others to lean on in crunch time to close out the game.
Yeah, that was not a great all star game. I guess that's the best they can do under the circumstances, but a little disappointing. It seems the elam ending format is great, but not if the deficit is already 20+ points going into the 4th quarter. The only part that was remotely exciting was the three-point shootout. The dunk contest was pretty crap. The judges were a lot more interesting than the contestants, but then they were pretty bad at judging the actual dunks anyway. I think the dunk contest format doesn't really work without real fans in the stands.
The whole reason why it was changed to new formats was because the East was complete trash. From 2011-2017, the West went 6-1 against the East. To go a step further and make it a West v. East in 2021: Original rosters (before injury replacements / coronavirus) West: Curry / Lillard Doncic / CP3 / Mitchell Kawhi / George LeBron / Davis / Williamson Jokic / Gobert East: Irving / Simmons / Lavine Beal / Harden Durant / Tatum / Brown Giannis / Randle Embiid / Vucevic With both rosters fully healthy, I think it would be a bloodbath (again).
Can you imagine them doing a Draft for like the 1992 All Star Game? Magic and Michael captains. I bet Michael wouldn't even pick Scottie first lol.
