Blake Griffin agrees to buyout w/ Pistons

He was the definition of brute force. The comparisons to Barkley were legit back then and their games aged the same as Griffin now has a jumper as his career is winding down. Maybe Barkley was a slightly better rebounder?

 

This move is easily good for the Nets.

Blake clearly isn't prime but 4th or 5th best player on a team = an absolutely awesome team.

They gave up no assets except money.

 

I also want to add to my previous reply that you clearly have some silly bias here... You list both the LeBron Heat AND the Lakers as "superteams" lol. Let alone the fact that the LeBron Heat weren't even as stacked as some of those historic superteams I listed, but the LeBron+Davis Lakers aren't even in the conversation. Yeah thats fine superteams suck. But one of the worst is when 4 starters of a 73 win team who lost the finals came knocking and begging the clear best player of a team they just beat from behind after being down 3 to 1

The good thing about this nets team is the under appreciation they got. How the warriors never really accepted kd and how the rockets expected harden to drag a tank team year after year.
