Nets are stocking their war chest.

But adding Blake just makes PJ even more necessary IMO because Griffin will be used as instant offense off the bench and Nets will need to surround him with versatile defenders.

There are very few as versatile as PJ Tucker.

    Jesus H. Christos Stone!!!!

If either of these guys are available then you'd better be in the hunt.

Get them both would be better!!!

So, you think we need an actual power forward, hunh?

I mean, someone at least 6'8"? And talented?

Not a "3" forced to slide to the 4 and call it "small balls"---er, "small ball"?

    'T'would be nice.

Under Morey it was Small Ball.

    Under Stone, it's small balls.

Guess water was too cold for Ra-fell.

    New talks new thoughts...
To many moving parts to happen at one time but pieces are more than doable and it could happen all at one time on paper

    Heat
    In: Wall, McLamore and Brown
    Out: Dragic and Iguodala
Butler, Bam, Wall —> just read about how this could be a championship.

    76er’s
In: Dragic, Oladipo, Tucker, 2 FRP
    Out: Simmons, Green
This is a far better team than they are now paired with Embiid and Harris. plus the picks.

    Hawks
    In: Igoudala
    Out: Snell
Igoudala help them in the playoffs.

    NYK
    In: Gordon & SRP
    Out: Toppin
Gordon helps with their playoff push.

    Rockets
In: Simmons, & Toppin expiring Green & Snell
Out: Wall, Oladipo, Gordon, Tucker, McLamore, Brown, 2 FRP Portland & Milwaukee & SRP

We are out of debt, open up 2 roster spots, have an identity with Simmons & Wood, gave up 2 FRP but got one back with Toppin. We are very much in the middle of our rebounding but Simmons, Porter, Tate, Toppin, Wood PLUS the DRAFT is a great start.

We helped make it a dog fight between Miami, Brooklyn and Philadelphia. —> Atlanta and NYK are better, too.

This trade actually fixes the Harden trade fiasco IMO.

But if we tweak to just 76ers, Heat, Rockets and NUGGETS:

    https://tradenba.com/trades/4zlEgPBc2

Heat: Wall, Tucker, Kurucs, Mason Jones
    76ers: Oladipo, Dragic, KZ Okpala
    Nugs: Herro, Iguodala, House
Rox: Simmons, MPJ, Thybulle, Olynyk, Korkmaz, Gary Harris

    6'5 Porter/6'5 Sterling/6'5 Exum
    6'3 EGo/6'5 Thybulle
    6'10 MPJ/6'4 Tate/6'5 Nwaba
    6'10 Simmons/6'7 Korkmaz/6'6 KJ
    6'10 Wood/6'11 Olynyk/6'11 Patton

Rockets would have 2 elite ball handlers in starting line up as well as 4 elite 3ball shooters around Ben Simmons.

HOUnds small ball switch everything lineup adds Thybulle and Simmons making it uber lockdown AND faster paced.

    MAKE THIS HAPPEN STONE!!!!!!!!!!!!

    NYK
    In: Gordon & House
    Out: Toppin & Knox
Their coach get players he will play.

    Rockets
    In: Toppin & Knox
    Out: Gordon & House
We save money, get younger and bigger. Knox can play the big forward spot with us, too. Toppin has promise but needs a different team.

Both Knox and Toppin would be solid additions. Apparently others on CF thinks Knox is a bust, a change of coach/scenery would do him good. Would prefer to hold on to Gordon. Think NYK is looking to make a splash. VO might fill that need. Probably need a third team for contract $ purposes, but some sort of trade involving VO, House, Mclemore and Tucker.

All these other blockbuster trades look good in improving the Rockets. Purging the roster is a must. But Silas has enough on his plate. Retooling the roster in increments to establish his system is key to HIS future success. Honestly I don't have a clue on what his vision is. But the roster as currently constructed has a lot to do with that. Bringing KPJ up, too soon in my opinion, makes just one more adjustment Silas has to make.

Should focus on the second half of the season developing some identity with Wood, KPJ and whatever Stone can acquire. We have the assets to draft a star player. Then spend the rest of the off season to get the likes of a Nance, A Gordon or Collins.

Depending on Silas making an adjustment is not a gamble worth making.

Have you forgotten how many 3rd quarter meltdowns we've witnessed in this 13 LOSS streak?

You know D-rock, Silas from the beginning was a headscratcher. I have lived in DFW since 95. Am a casual follower of the Mavs. Side note, the delusional fan base here believe Luka is a Mav for life. That dude is so gone once his rookie contract expires. But when the Rockets announced Silas as the pick for coach, I said who? Then I heard follow up reports on how highly he was thought of. Again my reaction was, OK if you say so. As I stated in a earlier thread, it could be the roster he was dealt. But watching Carlisle through the years, I see none of him in Silas.

The only glimmer of hope was early on after Harden's departure, the team went on a brief winning streak utilizing Wood and playing intense defense. Had a little streak where they were holding opponents under 100. Fast forward to this mess where we can't beat TOR playing without their best player and NO coaching staff. Rock bottom and we dwell there.

    Send PJ to 76ers, okay.

But for Matisse Thybulle in return, do not care about SRP.

We want players to complement and build around Porter-Wood.

Thybulle is the right age and skillset.

If Cade is the Rockets true target then tanking is a poor strategy since the odds of getting Cade this way constitutes losing every game AND even then, there is only about 50% odds of being top 4.

Rockets need to be much more aggressive and multiply the avenues of getting their man.

Bundle picks to move up to 1st pick or bundle players/picks to trade to team that does draft Cade.

This tanking is praying strategy only promotes a loser culture.

So.is Feigan telling us the truth this time or is he a propaganda mouthpiece for the Rockets?

If Feigan is speaking truth, then Stone needs to be fired.

I want Thybulle, Precious or Dinwiddie in a PJ trade.

    SRP not enough.
