1st of all I love Simmons he makes me laugh and sometimes he has some great takes, I loved Grantland and like a lot of the ringers podcasts. But his love of Luca is ridiculous, he can do no wrong. Yesterday I think I might have heard him say something worse than his Harden cheap assist comment. He Said. Luca is the best offensive player since Lebron, I almost had a wreck. So what about. Harden Durant Dame Kyrie Yes he said over Durant. Maybe he is just trolling but it did not sound like it and Tjarks never said anything to push back but there was a bit of silence. LOL.
Playing for Jersey is helping with his rep, but when Harden retires I believe many will finally be in awe of his offensive greatness. We know.

I used to like him for all the same reasons the OP says, but for years now he's just constantly putting up terrible hot takes (while making fun of the whole concept of hot takes) and trying to get people riled up on Twitter with his ridiculous opinions. When he does stuff with Russillo it's the absolute worst.

This to me it seems you can tell a difference since The Ringer got bought out by Spotify. I also think with Boston not doing well this year he has to double down on Luca.
I think that undersells him by a fair bit. But if you say his best and most interesting days are behind him I wholeheartedly agree.
Yeah he’s got some uninformed takes but he’s just a fan with a platform. He doesn’t pretend to be anything else. I think he’s great, still funny and still gets good guests.
This is why I have enjoyed him but he seems to trying to say **** for clicks and he seems to have become a bit bitter.
