Who you want to win, not think is going to win.

Didn't want to start a new thread.

Sam Cassell just reached the 40pt mark again in this years playoffs.

Let's go EAST! Represent that the "weaker sister" can do some damage!

(I'm going for the Wallaces, btw)...

I'm kinda surprised by the popularity of San Antonio. I don't want them to win for the reason stated in that other thread - having more titles than Houston.

The popularity of San Antonio is not unlike the popularity of John Kerry; ABK: Anybody but Karla!

What about Detroit? Don't you want to be sure Detroit doesn't get ahead of us in the number of championships? Or Sacramento (they have to start somewhere)? I suppose the Lakers are too far ahead now that we'll just have to accept being their whipping boy forever. But, it is the fact that it is a Texas team, not just that they have as many rings as the Rockets.

I can understand intermunicipal rivalries in Texas in an intrastate competition. Obviously, we want to be the best in Texas. But, the NBA doesn't confine itself to our state and Texas needs to represent to the wider world. There's Houston's honor to defend, but there is also Texas'. In that regard, I'll always root for a Texas team (except the Cowboys) over some out-of-state team. I would think this sentiment is where most of the San Antonio votes come from.

Sam "Alien" Cassell is freakin' awesome...He can take a last shot any day...

Anyway, I think the Spurs will win it vs. the Pistons...

Spurs to win it all, with the Kings as my second choice.

This is absurd. I cannot believe that all these so-called Rockets fans want the Spurs to take the lead in Texas championships. Unbelievable!

Stan’s in the east. If we were in the east we would have gone deeper into the playoff, just my opinion.

When the Lakers go down, Californians will cheer for the Kings. What is so wrong about Texans prioritizing their choices as 1A; 1B; and 1C? Even I, a Life Member Texas Ex, root for the ...gasp...Agriculturals when they are not playing another Texas team.

Come on now. You don't think if we were in the east that we would advance?!

The first round of the playoffs in the East was a JOKE!

So many HORRIBLE teams in the East.

It's about having some pride in Houston! The Spurs have been rivals for years, and now you all want them to have more rings than the Rockets? I moved out of Houston 11 years ago and live 2000 miles away, and am from a country 4000 miles away, yet still have more pride than most of you. PATHETIC!

Anyway, the Kings winning the title wouldn't put a dent in the Lakers' domination of California titles.

So are you saying that you want to fight your little brother because he is trying get one more candy than you, but don't want to fight the big boy on the other side of the block who is driving a classic Mustang to pick up your sister?:D

I'd prefer the Kings or the T-Wolves - generally it's just more exciting watching them play.
