Could also blame Morey for not surrounding him with proper stars. Tilman bought the team only in Sep 2017. Before that, since 2012 when Harden joined, Morey was only able to land one so-called all-star in Howard who was a respectable C at the time (not even dominant C/PF). Each consecutive year Howard's game deteriorated and the supporting cast was barely improved. Literally, Ariza was 3rd overall "best" player in the team for many years until Gordon joined in who I do not even think was an upgrade. I blame Morey and Alex equally. Maybe Harden had a lot of say in picking players but the team was equally cheap even before Tilman.

 

Nah what? Everything I said was a fact and sure he was the best player... he also benefited from a historic amount of dubious foul calls too if we're being honest.... Especially crucial dubious foul calls.

I guess you could say it was “routine” that he “came up small” in particular games throughout his playoff career up to this point, but they were almost always sandwiched with outstanding level performances. And it feels like some people refuse to admit this.. it was right in front of our faces for years.

G6 of Portland series he scored 34 on outstanding efficiency.

G5&G7 of Clippers series he had near triple doubles on good efficiency.

G1&G3&G4&G5 of the Spurs series were all pretty damn good games by Harden.

 

In the playoffs? More often than not... quite the contrary.... especially in crucial games and moments.
