Damn that sucks. Needed his defensive intensity tonight along with Tate. He has consistently been one of our hardest playing guys all year. Not sure if he was on any contender's radar, but I saw him as an asset that could potentially help a team needing a wing defender.
I never get tired of seeing the tanks going full steam ahead.....or the ones on the train speeding by. Awesome.
David Nwaba To Undergo Wrist Surgery, Out 6 Weeks https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2021/03/nwaba-to-undergo-wrist-surgery-out-6-weeks.html
I hope we get Nwaba on a house special or a Tate type deal... if not it’s all good though, more PT for the youngsters next year... I still don’t know for the life of me why he gutted out his wrist injury for this team. Props.
This is someone we need to target on a modest long-term contract. He’s versatile, great in the locker room, plays extremely hard, he’s underrated, and he’s not too old to be a bridge to the end of the rebuild. He’s the kind of player you want on a rebuilding team; it can’t be all rookies and players under 25. Nwaba KPJ KJ Martin Tate Wood ...need to be kept and developed. Low cost/ high reward players who play hard. If we can add a franchise player in this draft we have a real nucleus to build around.
I believe we should give Nwaba a 4 year $32-36M deal. He is the kind of guy I want around for the rebuild if he wants to stick around.
That's actually a reasonable contract for the skill he brings. I mean if we can get him for less, great.
