Don't think this was a nick move which only confirms what we feared the most.

Calm down people... he signed for what the Texans pay their backup running back...

We'll find a starter for more money soon...

    That's still a lot for a backup

To be fair, if you're trying to tank, locking down David Johnson as your starting running back is a really good starting point.

He may be a nice guy but as a NFL caliber RB, he sucks.......so of course sign him back on the team, that's what the Texans do. Run D4, run far away from this hot mess

He’s not good, but his blocking doesn’t help. Of course that likely won’t be much better next year either, so we have that going for us...

This team is so hard to love.

i don't think he would have been on an NFL roster to end next season if the Texans didn't exist.

Finally. A move geared toward developing young talent and winning. What a refreshing start to the new season.

This was his final year and it was non guaranteed correct? Texans could have cut him with no dead money? Instead they are wasting cap space and time on a terrible player when they could go cheaper and develop some young talent.

610 was saying the Texans were basically paying to have a veteran presence in the locker room and the RB meetings. So it’s all good.

    ****ing idiots.

I hear the local guys say all the cuts so far show texans are in full rebuild mode. I thought all the cuts so far are good football decisions that any competent gm in the nfl would make. Then this move pops up with Nick having no connection to that Deandre trade.
So someone like Nick, who watched Hoodie operate for a decade plus, is going to keep a bad 29 year old running back around?
Not buying it. easterby is involved in the roster decisions more than ever.
