We going to shut him down. He will dish out a bunch of assists but we will hold him to an inefficient shooting night. We will still lose though
Nothing to worry about. I've been assured he's a bum ass diva that just loves strippers. We're probably better with out him so no planning needed.
What’s crazy is, the Rockets are going to win this game and make a ton of 3s to make up for 12 games worth of bricks.
Can’t wait to see if Calvin calls Harden a quitter at halftime... Go Rockets!!! ....... ....... .......
I've also heard that he disappears in something called the NBA playoffs, so since Wednesday's game will be playoff intensity, Harden is donezo. Don't need to worry about him one bit.
Ehhh you know he's leading the league in assist since the Nets trade right? They run 5 out alot with Jeff Green at Center and actually have knockdown shooters at the wing. They have the best collection of shooters in the NBA now with Durant, Kyrie, Joe Harris. You double Harden at the half court line like team used to do to us, he will get 25 assist that night. He aint sharing the court with bums anymore like House, Rivers, Westbrick etc. The biggest blunder we've made in the last 7 or so years is our inability to put elite shooting next to James. How do we not ever have an elite shooter in that time span? Ridiculous. I'm mad just thinking about it.
Calling anyone a Harden stopper is pretty much a prelude to him getting abused. Moral victories is all Rocket's fans have to look forward to. LOL
I'm well aware of all that, the OP is asking how to defend Harden and I'm just giving it the best I can. About the only thing that's worked to guard Harden is full-court doubling with an emphasis on his left side. It won't contain the Nets, and he'll have 20 assists maybe? And he'll probably score 20? But that's all we can do. And I'm quite sure we won't defend him as well as I'd like, and he'll have a great night anyway.
The Brooklyn Nets playing against a team on a 12 game losing streak is going to be playoff intensity. yea ok. This will be YMCA level of effort by half time.
Based on the profile of what we know gives him the most trouble, those are probably our two best options. Nwaba as good as he is, I just don't know if he has enough. I found a youtube video where he had some success on Harden, but a lot of it was James got to his spot and just missed very makeable shots. I'm thinking Tate should be the primary defender. I guess we'll see. I would not expect him to have a 15 assist 0 turnover game against us with those two guys and PJ constantly harassing him and being a pain in the ass, but I don't think either will be a Roberson or Dort level defender against him.
Real talk? t*tties and booties. There's no way he's turning down a chance to champaign & campaign. With this financial downturn in Houston, he'll be able to get it on a discount too!
