I want to believe Silver wants the Rockets to good again in a hurry .... its an important / big market and he can't have this team going 14 - 68 for multiple years ....
https://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/HOU/draft.html I don’t know how we compare to other teams... but Rockets seem long overdue for a high draft pick. These are all of our top 10 Picks since Hakeem...... 1984- 1st Pick-Olajuwon 2000- 9th Pick-Pryzbilla 9th (traded) 2002- 1st Pick-Yao 2006 -8th Pick-Gay (traded for battier) * We also got Steve Francis & Eddie Griffin. But had to trade up for them
Wood "makes sht happen". There's only one ball in the end. Having hyper athletic bigs who can do everything is just as good as having a 2nd ball handler if not better. I might even take Mobley over Cade at this point if Im being honest with the way KPJ is looking. I was one of the first on the #fadeforcade wave just so you know, but after watching KPJ I feel he's better than Cade with the ball in his hands. It would be nice to give him weapons instead of asking him to share the ball.
T-Wolves are also playing the "Survive the island" strategy game. Rockets are not the only ones. 76ers don't get to be the only ones that get to trust the process. Not when you retain picks if they are protected.
We've now played 46% of the 72-game season and have the 3rd worst record. As per the NBA Lottery rule changes in 2017, the teams with the 3 worst records each have a 14% chance of getting the #1 pick. If my math is right, then we have around a 51% chance of selecting within the Top 4, assuming we have a bottom-3 record.
Wiggins has been backsliding. I so desperately want to trade for that pick and Wiggins and give them EGo and Tucker and...
Adam Silver is definitely going to look out for us lottery night. We never tank & we lost our franchise player.
It’s good for business when Texas is strong I do believe The NBA wants us to bounce back quickly- I really hope they don’t manipulate the balls- Obviously some of the past lottery winners have raised some eyes ... But I’ll take the first pick if they want to hand it to me
It will be scary for the league if Minnesota pick falls to number 4 or 5 ... It would guarantee Golden State getting it second blue-chip prospect in two years, I hope Clay comes back and is OK I still think the splash brothers have another run in them
I just played the odds on tankathon.com and we picked in the top 4 eight straight times. I like our chances. Keep the tank rolling!
Silver never gave the Knicks any luck in the lottery, and they are way more important to the league than the Rockets. Don’t get your hopes that Silver is just gonna do us a solid. Just pray to whatever deity of choice that we get blessed on lottery night.
Outside of the Ewing draft, there's no evidence that the league rigs the lottery. There are representatives from all teams involved that watch the lottery results in person, I don't know how they can rig it.
