    Stop gap only (jag)
Patton way to slow a foot.
    Very slow in transition.
Doesn't seem to smell out or track rebounds well.
    Can shoot that's a plus.

After he trains with Dream his career will take off. Just look what Hakeem did for Dwight.

Exactly. A 3rd stringer. He’s Charming Soft and can’t catch a pass to save his life. I hate that Spadling got injured.

Patton is looking really good tonight: stroking the 3, scoring inside, grabbing some boards, steals, blocks and some passing.

I think he’s a great piece to have. I hope Stone gets him and Armoni Brooks signed long term after the trades are done.

surprisingly a good pickup a rotational piece indeed. will he improve? time will tell but put him in the right situation like (harden did to Claxton kid) he will get his due. and what I like about also is he know his role and don't overdo it

yeah he won't be in the league by the time we're good again.

50% chance at no pick this year... gotta tank for 2022 and 2023. so starting the 23-24 season is when we look to rise up again. at that time we would be building around our rookies from 2022 and 2023, they will likely be around 19 years old at the time. Patton will be 27 then. top rookies (unless you strike gold) can sometimes take 3-4 years to hit their prime. so when we're back to contending he'll be 31. so no I wouldn't bet on him contributing to our next playoff team.

I'm not saying don't develop young guys. by all means bring him along, but temper expectations. he won't be part of our core, but hopefully can turn into an asset. while 23 isn't old of course, he doesn't fit our timeline. the guys that fit our timeline are in high school right now.

I like his energy and hustle. And he’s our only big besides Wood. At this point we might as well play him as much as possible and see what comes out of it.

As much as I like the player, he looks ripe for a trade. He'll be thrown into a trade as a sweetener.

Yeah, I know it sounds crazy, but that's what this team enjoys doing. They don't care.

No he won't, he is a 2-way player.

How does that stop him being traded?

We can also just let him walk next season, that would not surprise me.

    You can't trade 2-way players.

I would be interested to see how he plays behind Wall
I would like to see some minutes together.
Silas has to experiment the rest of the season.

Unless they get a top 4 pick and hit on that pick.

Wood/Mentally healthy KPJ/Star level young draft pick moves your time line way farther.

Definitely keep, perfect age as long as we sign to team friendly deal for 2 years then lock him up with early bird rights.

Perfect backup C for Wood. No they can't start together, Wood is a 5 in tomorrow's NBA and we should not deviate from focusing on the goal. What happens on the court this season feels important but pales in importance when compared to a couple of years from now.

It's not our first rodeo guys. Keep your emotions at home, this is not the time to get attached to playing styles and regular season games.

I'd like to see him get a contract

Our 3rd string C next year.
And hope he develops into a back up C or a trade piece.
But I think he's worth the $5mill 4 year contact.

Wood probably has the C spot locked up for a few years though.
