We've been doomed for months. That winning streak was hope, and hope is nothing more than a slow poison.

Jesus man. You guys really don’t get it do you?

This was a designed leak to attract bidders. We have never had long term plans with Vic.

Would it have changed his trade ability if he signed it? Like some kind of can’t be traded for 3 months thing?

in terms of pure value there’s the possibility the extension would make him more trade able to certain teams. 22 a year ain’t an overpay... outside the injury issues. Look what Gordon Hayward got for example.

it would have been a risk for sure but it would have allowed you to lock him up for a pretty short term contract. A few weeks of 19 ppg, 4 apg, 4 rpg type stats and that’s tradeable and if not before the deadline than in the offseason.

but win win either way imo. Unless they max him or some **** this summer.

if we could land tyler herro for dipo without giving up a first rounder then tht would be amazing...unlikely tho...hopefully miami gets desperate

So Rockets really do want to re-sign Dipo.

This plus ESPN article stating Rockets have yet to engage in any trade discussions for Dipo confirm this.

    Why Stone, why?

If he were locked in he would loose some of his control on where he is traded to. I just want a 6’8” or larger versatile big forward back when he is traded.

    Maybe its just wishful thinking...
but did maybe somebody in the org do the math and determine that Oladipo is worth more this offseason with that 2 year deal - than as an expiring at this trade deadline - and thats why they made the offer?

People often get worked up about stuff - without realizing the bigger picture...

That would be a pretty good trade asset with many teams in league having a boatload of capspace and not many free agents.
