I went to SPX... graduated in 1976. Played basketball when I worked at Astroworld with some Yates guys. I was the only white guy playing. I was always picked first because I'm the only one that passed the ball.
I'm not sure.. I didn't go to games for the game itself... The action was at the concession stands and the parking lot when I was there... Only time I'd be in sitting areas was to watch the halftime show ... Lol
No idea... We didn't get good enough to attend bball games until the early 2000s.... By that time you damn near had to wait too long in lines for a ticket ... I've never been to a bball game because of that...
So, you are a youngster. I went to Cy-Fair when the district had two high schools. Cy-Fair and JV. Those were the days.
was supposed to stratford it, but moved and ended up at lamar. this was before it turned into a shittehole post 911. those pep rallies were the best when everyone held up the "L" sign before games, both signifying the lamar name and the fact that we were probably going to lose.
Bellaire. Got zoned to Madison my senior year after 2 years at Bellaire (HS was 10th, 11th, and12th back then), and was given the choice of which school to graduate from. I lived 3 miles from Bellaire and 7 miles from Madison-go figure.
Wcs use to play them alot back in the days. Tough school. Did you ever meet people from St Agnes? I actually went to school with Larry Smith and Kenny Smith Children when i was kid. Thats when Larry Smith lived in Sugar Land, we use to drive by his house and wave to his dad, but he was like who the hell are them kids. LOL Strake had big time basketball college prep school like WCS had.
Robert E. Lee in Baytown, and my embarrassing red neck home town just refused to rename the school named after a traitor. DD
We just was kids but they were pretty much rich and on sugar just like any other kid. hehe Larry kid was fat and wild. tbh.
