A little disappointed no one has mentioned Luis Scola yet. Always a joy to watch his tenacity and scoop layups. One of the nicest people ever, and one of my favorite former Rockets.

-Mario Elie was a treat to watch because he was just a cold-blooded sniper (and his kiss of death antics)
-Otis Thorpe was a treat to watch when he one-handed a rebound and threw it down the court for an easy lay-up
-Same Cassell (the little alien) was a treat to watch because he would ignite a rally and get us back in the game or put us up 10 quick
-Charles Jones was a treat to watch because you knew the Rockets were going to win that game (human victory cigar)

Overall it was Hakeem- he could put up stats but you didn't watch him for that. It didn't matter if he scored 42 points or 22 points, the guy had it going all game long with rebounds, blocks, steals, passing out of a double-teams, shutting down the opposing teams elite centers and those baseline moves. Him and Michael Jordan are main two players for me that I could watch an entire game of and not think (WTF was that?)

No one has sarcastically mentioned Chris Jent? Most known for his appearance in the championship video for being in the league for two months and got a ring. Poor Barkley.

You know you're old when somebody asks "old school" Rockets fans about a player who was fun to watch and you're ready to break out with "Lew Lloyd" and they start out with TMac. Wth. *sigh*. :D

Cant decide if it was Hakeem or Tmac. No other player comes close to their natural born ability. Both aestheticaly were peak basketball

Sweet Lew had the second best rainbow shot in Rockets history behind Purvis Short.
Edited: ...and was indeed and treat to watch.

Well, he was in the league as a player for a short period, but the dude's been an assistant coach forever. I wonder what the worst ratio of "years as player/years as coach" is for anyone who was a player? lol.

Dude, Ryan Bowen was the first guy that popped into my head as well! He played as if he was a chicken without a head! He was all hustle and no talent. I know that sounds harsh, but I respect a person who goes all out even though they know they’re out matched and are a square peg in a hole game...Scotty Brooks was another player that had a similar helter skelter game, but he had a LITTLE more talent than Bowen..

Just look at the way Juwan Howard is staring at Bobby Sura...o_O

I looked up his career and he played in a total of six regular season games and eleven playoff games. How many players played in more playoff games than regular season games in their careers?

He's probably at the top of that ratio you mentioned.

What's funny is I found an NBL highlights tape of his. If this were a modern tape, everybody would want the Rockets to tank and draft him #1. The swagger is hilarious :

Tmac doesn’t belong in the same sentence or book or dictionary as Hakeem

I understand Tmac fans are salty
    He’s not close to Harden
And he’s not in the same planet as Dream

like NASA can’t send you a picture of Tmac from where Hakeem is
