    That's great, but it doesn't indicate how effective he is at guarding all those positions, right?

    And we could have had the top 2 on our roster this year. Maybe 3 of the top 4.

    Simmons and Anougnby are elite versatile defenders. Tate is very good. The other two on the list are just small ball casualties

    Jae’Sean Tate is not a franchise player. Trade him!

    How does he treat the strippers though?

    So, let me get this straight.

    We have #1 on the list. We had #2 and #4 on the list. We (maybe) could have had #3 on the list.

    Sad.

    The future is bright with Kevin Porter Jr, Jae'Sean Tate, Kenyon Martin Jr., and Christian Wood. Hope we score some more good young players for the corpses of Oladipo, Tucker, Gordon, House, etc.

    I wish there was some metric to measure how well they guard each position though. This just shows how often they try. That said, I have a feeling Tate would be elite there as well. I just hope he stays hungry and active unlike Beverley.

    He is so good! I truly love watching him move his feet and dive for loose balls. All the things players don't want to do. Between him and Nwaba, there's some nasty defense being played every now and again.

    Tate's Stats across 30 games:

    Box Plus/Minus = -1.3
    OnCourt = -1.6
    Vorp = .2
    Offensive +/- = -1.8
    Defensive +/- = .5
    Fouls Committed = 43, Fouls Drawn = 19

    Tate guarding PF's and C's is just lunacy and it shows in the numbers.

    All these numbers are pretty great all things considered. If you understand how they actually work, rather.
