Are you serious? Are you seriously leaving Calvin Murphy off the list? No joke. Calvin Murphy was one of the toughest guys to ever play and the entire league was afraid of him. He was a golden gloves boxer and he definitely threw them hands on court.
https://vault.si.com/vault/1977/10/31/nobody-but-nobody-is-going-to-hurt-my-teammates Super cool article about NBA enforcers from SI in 1977. So hilarious to see Calvin listed amongst all the giants.
Hold me back is definitely a guy who doesn't want to fight but presents as if willing. Thus, "Hold me back." Someone about that life isn't asking to be restrained. Westbrook is super guilty of talking his way into feelings and then making business decisions. Honestly, that time Harden bucked up to Mario Chalmers got a laugh outta me. Brobro is a big brobro but damn if he wasn't counting on a swift arrival from the calvary. I believe the list you are searching for is the "real ones" starting 5. Definitely has to include Joey Dorsey.
All you young guys don't know about Calvin Murphy. He was the smallest dude on the court and took nothing from nobody. He was quick to throw a punch and in those days it wasn't even a technical let alone suspension. I loved it! Plus Akeem like to throw but when he became Hakeem that all changed. I don't think he ever swung after that. Gotta love Islam.
Lol it’s so childlike Like he doesn’t know it’s wrong to hit someone in the face He’s just casually swinging his fist into your nose
The rules are so strict now we won't know if a lot of new tough players can actually throw down -- it's been a long time now since there could be a lot of fights. Some of these old fights would be season suspensions today.
