Only 25 years later, Beavis and Butt-Head are returning with a sequel to 1996's Beavis and Butt-Head Do America. "So like, eh…we're making a movie," Butt-Head reveals in the new video teaser above, which opens with him and his partner in crime appearing to be teleconferencing with each other via Zoom. We soon learn that the pair are actually sharing the same familiar couch. "And it's gonna be on Paramount+ — kickass," Beavis chimes in. "You said mount," Butt-Head snickers. The news follows the July announcement of that Comedy Central had ordered two fresh seasons of Mike Judge's cult classic cartoon plus "additional spin-offs and specials." Judge will write and produce the latest Beavis and Butt-Head revival — and, of course, voice the dynamic duo. "It seemed like the time was right to get stupid again," he said succinctly in a Comedy Central press release at the time. A release date has yet to be confirmed for either the Comedy Central series or the new movie — and no word as to whether Rob Zombie will be contributing to another peyote freakout scene. All we can say right now is: Come to Butt-Head. https://www.revolvermag.com/culture/see-beavis-and-butt-head-announce-new-movie-coming-paramount
I loved the revival from back in 2011-2012, I was sad it was so short-lived. Will be very happy to see these two idiots again.
They'd be in their mid 40s. One prob an investment banker to fuel his drug addition while the other hitchhikes w/ his guitar evading state warrants.
When the revival aired I went back and watched a lot of the stuff from back in the day, assuming it wouldn't hold up under adult eyes. I think I appreciate most of the humor even more now. New Beavis and Butthead, and a lot of new Avatar material. The streaming war is reaping huge benefits right now.
there was talk at one point of doing it and mike judge even talked about how he wanted to age the characters by 15 years or so. i would love to see that.
I'll take anything and love it. But personally, I really loved the snapshot of Texas in the late 90's early 2000's. Major nostalgia, and the time IMO was perfect, social interactions at the time were so different being mostly pre smartphones, heavy social media use etc. It shows a simpler and more natural social period that I really like.
I pretty much live in Teams meetings everyday...that "trailer" gets funnier every single time I watch it. So much material out there for these two to use. Can't wait!
