Oladipo’s game has a lot of merit. His current contract if fair.

wall and oladipo were allstars and top picks... wall was number 1 pick!!! lololol the irony.. if you dont even have a proper shooting coach you surely wont benefit from drafting 'an allstar'

I’m not sure what we were expecting? That win streak was fun but we’re clearly not that team. We need more talent. Honestly this team is playing ball the way they should be. We were frustrated with second round playoff losses. Where do you think this teams ceiling is?

Buckle up! It’s going to be a rough ride for a while. My only frustration is with the hypocrisy. You let Cousins go to be younger but we’re still not developing our young guys. Arguably our best talent is in the G league. We need to move out the vets and commit to the rebuild.

Shhhhhhh... low key we’re gonna trade his old ass anyway. He just needs to have good stats and near-superstar production. Low-key KPJr. is rehabbing his mind and body in the G-league. Wall’s game is obsolete in this league. Look at Harden - he’s got the slowest game... built to last. Wall, Oladipo, Westbrook - all similar games.

We only have 1 big man on the roster worthy of NBA minutes and he is hurt.

    Get used to it.

Tall players who suck < any player who sucks less

Worriers ruined the league by winning big with small ball but no one ever mentions they had TWO GOAT shooters and a HOF level defensive swiss army knife. Try it with two other HOFs and volume gets you tantalizingly close. Try it with role players, ROFL!!!

both he and Wall are spot on about being upset with smallball. Players know it sucks....why doesn’t the coach and management know it. What a bunch of morons.

Not sure that its a automatic if a team is losing that means their players call into question the coach and/or the coach loses the players. Certainly losing calls into question many things.

I will agree somewhat that this is more true for the Rockets than average because we got some vets that thought we were about winning this year and a coach who is unproven. Since it seems this team is destined to lose, at least in the short term, and will be dumping vets and inserting younger players who are more patient about winning, the situation may correct itself.

Big men make a big difference. Injuries to big men make a big difference, even for Lebron. I attended the Lakers Jazz game last night and the Lakers offense had nothing but bricks while Utah was feasting by not having to expend much energy on defense.

The only reason we're talking about small ball is because the 2016-2019 Warriors and 2018 Rockets made it happen at an elite level. If it's not played at an elite level, it's trash.

It's like a special move. Ever seen those hockey videos of guys like Sidney Crosby scoring lacross style by picking up the pick behind the net and stuffing it in? Yeah that can win games at key moments but if you tried to take every shot like that, it would just be silly and inefficient. Much of the time in the NHL goals are scored by having a defenseman with a big shot put the puck at the net and let the big men (power forwards) go to work and score on rebounds. NBA is the same way. Defenses are constructed for set plays. Rebounds create chaos. Big men can help an offense control chaos, and that's powerful. If you neglect rebounding and put backs and paint points you're neglecting 50% of the game. It's a wonder if you can compete at all.

I sincerely hope Stone doesn't believe small ball can be successful even with all-star players; it requires 2 Hall Of Famers in your backcourt - Durant/Curry or Harden/Paul. And it's still damn hard to pull off and requires a lot of wear and tear. It was better to have Capela on the roster as a utility big man with an army of 3&D wings, and Nene as a bruiser backup. Our ultimate Rockets small ball team still had 2 Cs...
