He’s been the best player on my favorite team for nearly a 8 years. I can try to be neutral when discussing stats and objective facts, but like you I want him to succeed, and I want people who’ve been irrationally ******** on him for years to admit they were wrong. From that standpoint, I get your frustration when these people argue that he’s a “different player”, because it allows them to avoid admitting how wrong they were.
Plus Joe seems like a likeable guy. He tweets after each game and sometimes half time . He seems he is an actual fan who is emotionally and obviously financially invested.
