Do not panic. It’s all under control.

H5N8 has been detected in birds in many region. This is the first known cases of transmission to human.

    7 workers infected. Mild symptoms,
recovered. No human to human transmission. At least we are told.

    That all looks good.

The problem - known since Dec 2020. It took two months for Russia to report this.

The world is not prepared to quickly handle new potentially deadly outbreaks when we have countries that hide or wait. We need better global surveillance of emerging cases.
