Kwame Brown is a free agent. Think we have a chance at getting him? I think he would do well playing along side Yao. Just a thought.

before a million "bust" posts come in. i've actually watched some of the games this year and Brown seems to have emerged finally. i think this or next year he will take the J. O'neal leap. if we could get him for MoT or Cato money that would be the best deal ever. But Washington will have lost all their investment if they just gave up on him.

also, he just had his third year, there should be a team option next year right?

I'm not sure but I think this guy will excel on the right team and we can keep our back court just fill in some holes. He's young and better than Cato and Mo. He's worth it I think I would really consider him. Everyone thinks he's a bust I don't think so.

Brown is slowly starting to emerge. I dont think the Wizards will give up on him. Remember, this is the team that gave up on Chris Webber AND Rasheed Wallace! They arent going to move Brown. They are going to give him time to grow and rightfully so.

You mean the Wizards, and I agree, Kwame's not going anywhere except in a major, major deal.

He is not on the Bulls either.

And if we actually paid him anywhere close "MoT or Cato money" I would be depressed as hell. The guy might have potential, but I dont think anyone is going to offer him close to $40-50 million.

Don't we have enough draft busts of own to deal with or are we now looking to sign other teams' draft busts as well? Exactly how does this make us a better team?

Given that Kwame didn't even know how to go grocery shopping when he stepped into the league, I'd say he's coming around. The kid is starting to grow up a little. I see potential. But if you think Steve Francis takes abuse here. You should see what Kwame gets in Washington during the games.

Kwame's an atheletic prospect, perhaps a bigger, stronger Darius Miles, but he just doesn't look like a basketball player to me... The game doesn't come naturally to him. Darko looks a lot like that too.

not to say the kwame or darko thing won't happen but look at them compared to amare. he doesn't have a lick of fundamental basketball in him and he is dominating in the nba at their position. man, did everyone miss the boat on this guy- just wind him up and watch him go.

CONSIDERING THE MONEY HE WOULD WANT...and the mediocre-version-of-Mo T type of player he has become, I believe that this bear's repeating:

He needs a definite change of scenery, possibly an uptempo team away from intense media (Seattle, perhaps?).
