You said sifting thru the bargain bin, Wood was signed for only 14M a year, Porter was a protected 2nd round pick. Those were bargain bin trades how is that different? I dunno what you are talking about talent dude was a 16th pick when he got drafted, he had talent.
Film looked ok, but he was playing against midgets. When he gets to the big leagues, he won't have that kind of size advantage or leverage. Low risk, high reward potential so why not?
As long as he boxes out and grab rebounds, I’m. It asking him to be a star or even capela. Just motor and defense
I like this guy a lot more than Spalding and he can pass a bit like Boogie....should be a nice addition, free cheap look. DD
I vaguely remember Patton getting drafted and nothing more after that. His injury history make preclude him from making much progress.
Watched Spalding in G league and he was bad. This guy actually has some decent talent and can be a legit backup.
I wasn't a fan of bringing Spalding up, seemed like a desperation move. Good to hear about Patton, seems to have some skills if he can stay healthy. I'm glad we have a few games postponed to give him some practice time before he gets thrown to the wolves. Should also benefit Boogie to have a big guy to go against in practice.
Spalding was a double double machine AND locking down on D with Vipers. Patton was on the street. This signing was just as much a desperation move for Rockets if not more than Spalding signing. Stone is just doing the minimum right now.
