Going back to my original post, I don't see why a successful green tech company has to be run by someone who acts like Musk. Pretty much feelings on Musk and Jobs:

Ironically, nat gas and petro products would have been huge exports would it not be for the trade war. Nat gas is doing a lot to clean up China's air pollution while providing baseload energy in the near term with renewable. China is investing way more in nuclear energy and renewable than we are.

I believe we are in the midst of new cold war with China and I'd be drawing a line in the sand with technology. "Old economy trade " commodities like agriculture, petro products, etc plus low value manufactured goods and some electronics should be traded. I think it would be a mistake to not trade, and have a situation similar to the USSR and US.

It's always interesting to me to see that some people don't believe Billionaires should exist.
But if Elon wasn't a Billionaire, Tesla would've been a failure. It took him 18 years to make Tesla profitable.
Go Elon! continue making improvements towards the future. I for one applaud the good the Elon and Gates are doing for our world with their money.

"Mr. Gates, how do we fix the cotton and sugar shortage?"

"We need more Simon Legrees, obviously."

Did you not watch the Bill Burr video? Elon is just a prick to some folks.

It's less about how much Elon is worth, it's how he got there and his behavior now. In my opinion, Gates just doesn't come off as the meglomaniac that Elon does. Like I mentioned earlier, the China stuff is off putting....

Elon Musk also pushed for a Carbon Tax. I suppose if got that done, quite a few opinions would shift on him (from all sides)....

Im pretty sure people who study animal behavior would disagree, but I guess that depends on how you would define the term politics.

Too many politicians were attorneys at some point, or at least have a degree of law instead of science/engineering. Lawyers base their arguments on the parties they represent before truth and/or law. How is it possible to request them design policies based on science, common benefit to all parties, and consciousness/dignity?

If I have to deal with bureaucrats, I'd rather face a technology one than a lawyer.
