Houston has such a weird vibe. It has for many years. I feel it every time I drive down from Austin to visit friends and relatives. While not the reason I moved here 40 years ago, I'm glad I did. Take care, man. Wow.

In case anybody wants to see what that looks like. It took me like 5 minutes to work out that I'd been shot at. At first I thought something like a pressurized air can had exploded. By the time I figured out what had happened and to look for whoever did it, they were long gone. There was no road rage moment or any kind of kerfuffle prior to the event.






This was taken later. I've already taped up the hole in the front window so I can drive without an arctic gust in my face.

Two things:

Once when I was getting released They asked who I looked like. (It's always Charlie Sheen these days)

Second; and this still irritates me: A guy got beaten in front of me. I was the elder and have typically stepped in. But I didn't. He was beaten badly. I went and apologized later but I should've stepped in.

Went to the rodeo this year and this elderly dude was leaving his spot . I put my blinker on to put the suckers on notice I got next .
This old dude did like a 30 point turn back out of a parking spot. This literary was a simple spot in the Astroworld / reliant area. Finally after 15 minutes , I turned in and then I heard this vroom of some beat up Chevy turn into the spot. I got out of my car and gave this dude the finger and then cops stop me! I said , you saw what he did? The cop said yes but he wanted to stop any ‘escalation’
The cop found me another space .
Only hope that the dude in Chevy chokes on a Turkey leg or a giant churro
