ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Wizards 2/15/2021

Well good news: won't be much of a choice by the time the trade deadline rolls around.

 

Even the G League players are getting injured. Daryl Morey's curse against bigs hasn't been dispelled.

 

A part of me was hoping that the late scratches on PJ and EG was because we have a deal in the works.

If not, this is definitely pointless tanking. Need to bring up KPJ and KMJ to eat up those house and benmac minutes.

 

Nah embrace the tank. Dip in the high lottery a couple years and get out. The Rockets aren’t signing a franchise player to come to Houston, very unlikely they trade for one so that leaves the draft.

 

Yup. Look at the terrible team culture the Grizzlies have from tanking for Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson. Look at the terrible team culture the Sixers have after tanking for Embiid and Simmons.

 

Tank for Cade!!! It's gonna be alright people. Cade Cunningham is coming.

 

I don’t view tanking as throwing games...I view it as tearing things down and rebuilding it back up from scratch

I think they should be looking to trade House, PJ, Dipo, EG, and Wall if they have value...play the young guys or anyone who might have a future here and isn’t just a placeholder...they’ll lose games, but it will be due to lack of talent as we look to get top picks to replenish the talent base

the way I see it, they’re gonna be losing a lot of games regardless...it’s basically would u rather see them be 11th in the West playing a bunch of vets, or 13th or 14th in the West aiming for a top 4 pick

 

I like how we are a defensive team when the other team seem to score season highs against us.

 

Rockets have made it obvious that they are tanking. Randomly sitting key players out is proof of that.

 

I actually read here that they'd rather luck out to a couple of titles once in a while during decades of mediocrity rather than be a dominant franchise like the Lakers.

 

Embarrassing loss

 

somebody told me on here they’d rather have ball movement and lose than ISO ball and win...of course, that energy is nowhere to be found as the losses start to pile up

 

grizzlies still as irelevant as ever (and took a huge beating from this rockets team), yeah and the great culture of sixers where cornerstone player cant shoot and he doesnt even work at improving his shot...lolol they were terrible for 5 years and they are an embiid injury away from tanking for another 5 years...lolol

Rockets now 6th in the tank standings and 1.5 games from 4th

 

Blown out by 8-17 Washington freaking Wizard....wow

 

I mean at least keep the game close, fun to watch. These jokers are getting blown the heck out. Not fun watching these dudes no matter the style of play.
