Yeah heads need to roll for this. Totally unacceptable. I say this as a lucky one who has power so far. I can’t believe they were not better prepared

Loss of power doesn’t concern me. My neighbors loud ass 12 year old generator does. Hahahaha.

Winter Storm Warnings issued for Wed through Thursday.. this is primarily for freezing rain/ice as of now.

One winter storm down, two to go. The Tuesday night into Wednesday storm likely only has major impacts north of Houston. Then one more quick system early Thursday morning may bring a little sleet or freezing rain through Houston.

I'm in the hill country southwest of Austin and my neighborhood is on a big hill so it's usually at least 10° colder -- tonight is going to be tough.

The snow isn't the problem. It's the damn underlayer of freezing rain/ice that is the problem in northeast texas. And there's more on the way.

We were without power from about 6am to now.
The snow can suck 12 dicks in a row as far as I'm concerned.

You guys all got it easy

We moved on Friday, I show up to the new house approx 3 minutes after the scheduled time for the gas to be turned on by a technician. I pull up, nobody here, guess the guy was just running late, didn’t get a phone call.

30 mins go by we call center point, they say he came, gave us a call (he did not) and left.

Haven't had heat, hot water, stove/oven etc since Friday, was getting by with House at 60 degrees with a couple of electric heaters and blankets, electricity goes out last night, still out right now. With a infant, and toddler, right after a move during a pandemic

    fun times

I have pedernales electric so I'm probably f'd tonight -- this is like the gov with zero prep for a hurricane they had weeks notice on.

I least my weak LTE signal is coming through for a minute -- everything is about out of battery power though.

I have to admit my Ike era generator is struggling. It's keeping some heat and lights running at least.

In South/Southwest Austin - going on 14 hours now with no power. Just got three envirologs from a friend (has power) and raided another’s firewood stash. Some I know have just got power back but still many down.

Hope everyone without power is staying safe #smokeweed
