I've always be told as long as the water is moving it should not freeze. I hope that's right. I have more of a trickle going than a drip.
It should be. The leading edge of the good stuff is heading into San Antonio and Austin areas and heading NE. Looks like the outrageous totals that have been thrown around will be to our NW but of course things can change. One thing that is really exciting is that we may hear some thunder overnight. Giddings had a report of thunder with snow. Thundersnow is not common.
My pool died. The backwash valve push pull assembly cracked at the top from the cold and was streaming water out. Water was everywhere and freezing. I couldn’t run anymore so I drained the pumps and released the pressure from DE filter. This sucks. I guess I just pray. One worry is the pool freezing over and damaging the tile. As the ice sheet thickens, more pressure is exerted. I may end up doing a manual ice breaking session every couple hours thru to Friday. Oh God.
Yea it had been running the whole freeze. The part is the push/pull lever assembly. You push it in the valve and the top screws on. It’s a lid made of thin plastic. I guess it couldn’t handle cold water. I should have got the rotary backwash valve instead. I hate pools cause you got to put up with so much sh_t breaking and at in opportune times. This isn’t my first rodeo.
ERCOT just entered EEA 3, so expect rolling blackouts around the state. I think the went from 1-3 in about an hour. lol
