In his second game, he had 21 pts on 22 shots. But he also had 7 assists, 4 boards, 3 steals, 2 blocks and ZERO turnovers in his 31 minutes. I would say mixed, but encouraging. https://www.espn.com/nba-g-league/boxscore?gameId=401282344
His performance tonight is better than his first game. Tonight he played within a team structure, he actively was trying to get other players involved. He was a lot more confident as well. He can shoot, that will come... but he showed a good understanding of the game.
He looks really tall and long. I couldn’t see him being 6-4 with a 6-9 wingspan. He looks about 6-6 with a long wingspan while playing looks smaller in photos. Much bigger than I thought. Could they mold him into a SGA type?
I know this has nothing to do with KPJ but since it's g-league aswell, i thought I'd post it. I'm in absolute AWE of Kuminga. He looks so so good. I hope we somehow get into the TOP 4 and get him anyway possible. I don't know much about Cade or the other top prospects, but Kuminga is so impressive in that little highlight video
Oooh, I just got it. It had me stumped all night!!! SGA= Shai Gilgeus? Alexander! That would be great. My homer-vision sees another Ja Morant style of player.
For me personally, today's game is a really big test for KPJ. Being able to string 3 straight 20+ point scoring games together will say a lot. 30+ points will say even more. IMO, if he does this, it should solidify the case for his immediate return.
I think the plan is to give him big minutes after the All-Star break, likely after Dipo is traded, and have him be a starter/rotation guy next year. My issue is that we're gonna be hanging around .500 most of the year because we're better than that when fully healthy (not likely to happen with our guys' histories), but not bad enough to fully tank because of guys like Wall/Wood.
i'm watching on espn+ for those have it or disney+ bundle https://www.espn.com/watch/player/_...evelopment:schedule/eventCalendarId/401282353
KPJ seems a bit disinterested or lazy with his game. Super talented though. Never in a hurry in a good way. KMJ could be a perfect defensive role player IF he can improve his shot. Everything else it perfect for a role player.
Putney is still worth a look now that we are signing skinny guys. Porter is raw but smooth, if he gets his head right, he has talent that most don't have, plays the game at a different pace which gives him an advantage. DD
