The question is if we get normal fries or curly and make them supersized which ever one.

It doesn't really matter. The important thing is that we get fries.

    We will end up with
JJ, Ray Allen, Cat, Brent Berry... all natural 2 guards. JJ is already playing out of position. We dont have a point guard, and there is none that interests me in the league who is available.
Why break up a team that tasted pain and glory of playoff together? If we depart with francis and mobley, i dont see us in playoff next year. We just started building some kind of chemistry... and it is very important.. i guess +_+

It would be interesting to see Allen with a legitimate center. I don't think he's ever played with a real low- post presence before.

    YES!

i think that's why he wasn't able to take the next step everyone expected him to after the 00' season. i wouldn't trade steve for just anyone, but him and MoT netting Allen, Barry, AND a pick is a great deal.

we are getting two of the best three point shooting (one in makes, the other in percentage) players in the NBA. i promise you Yao will average more assists next season if this happens.

This rumor is suspect because it is built entirely on message board hearsay. This is exactly the same as when someon posts that he heard on the espn board that a poster said that he read in the paper that a trade is being floated around. So until we get an actual article, then I can understand the skepticism.

Regarding the trade itself, I think that with the draft pick, Seattle would be giving up too much. We would be able to shed Mo's contract and Allen's contract is up in one year, so we would actually have cap room to play with if we can resign Allen at about the 6 year 60 million dollar range. The trade would be too good to pass up, but I doubt it has any supstance to it.

No,keep Steve. He should be at SG.I think Rockets should put Steve at SG and bench Cat for back up.PG and PF should be finded in the league for Rockets.

.....To wit: It now seems that Steve Francis cannot play point guard for this Jeff Van Gundy-coached team. Francis has talent and guts galore, but his careless ball-handling and scatter-shot approach to clock management derailed the Rocket offense more than it helped it, and that doesn't even address the issue of Francis's incompatibility with Yao Ming. Francis, a shooting guard in a point guard's body, is a popular player with a delightfully competitive personality. But Stevie Wonder may have to go if the Rockets are to advance.

You cant just move steve to the 2. Its not that simple. I made a post about this. Its goin to take alot of adjustments and not to mention a consistant jumpshot. I posted this earlier in another thread.

For those of you who think we can just simply move Francis to the 2 guard to accommodate bringing in a real point guard. Francis is too small to guard most other shooting guards in the league, imagine what would happen if he had to face someone like kobe or tmac. He can’t consistently hit the open jumper or midrange shot. He also does not move well without the ball, which is essential for a shooting guard. Francis is only at the point because of his size and lack of a consistent jumpshot. This also brings us to a predicament where Steve just doesn’t fit in with jvgs offensive scheme, which is more of a passing and team ball instead of isoing.

If he works on his jumper then well see how well he does at sg. Mobley made a smooth transition for the iso offence to a jumpshooter(he has a better stroke) , but well see if steve can.

While the trade would probably improve the team next season, I think it’s too “safe” a move. I don't think trading for equally talented players that fit better is enough to take this team to championship level. A core of Yao, Allen, Cat, Barry, and JJ could be really good next season, but there really isn’t much upside. Every player except for Yao is reaching or has reached their peak. Unless Yao can develop into a 25/10 player like Duncan and Garnett, there is not enough talent to win it all. I kind of feel the same way about this current squad. If the Rockets are going to trade Steve, make a bold move and bring in some youngsters with high ceilings. The team is still lacking that truly special player and Ray Allen is not it.

IF you feel that way, then trade Yao. You go with him, or you get rid of him. IF he can't make it, you're screwed anyway.

I am with him. You aren't.

If you're gonna trade SF, whats the point in bringing in a big PG? SF shouldn't be moved for anyone except a great PG or rising star like Kirk Hinrich. hell why should we even move SF? Just keep him here, hes a great player

****! Just make it happen already!! Adding these two great percentage shooter and smart baller is going to make us all happy!

But believe it folks, no deal will happen until the end of the playoff and damn hell it's gonna be a long time until we see what's what. There are so many options oout there and if they are going to dealt Francis, they will take all teh time in the world to get the best out of the trade so don't hold ya breath.

Let ask ourselves, why would Seattle be interested in Franchise? Filling seats and what does the fan on Sonics think of Franchise+MT for Allen and Barry? I'm sure it will be 50/50

Now why would you want to risk trading for Hinrich? The guy is small and no where near as talent as Franchis. Don't know much about him but too damn green to be controlling the flow of the team. No thank you. Maybe Cat and someone else for Hinrich but I doubt their would trade Hinrich since he MIGHT be a rising star.

Has anything legit ever come from sina??

There seems to be more crap spewed from there than from a constipated Anna Nicole Smith.

I'm with him to an extent. He has the ability to carry a team for stretches, but from what I've seen from Yao the past 2 years, he simply does not have the stamina nor temperament to carry an entire team on his shoulders for +100 games like KG or Duncan can. The optimal situation for Yao would be for him to be one-half of a dynamic duo.

I don't think the duo of Yao/Steve nor Yao/Allen is good enough. Ray Allen and Steve are two really good players that if paired with Duncan/KG could probably win a championship. Yao is going to need a really great player next to him (Kobe, Mcgrady, Peja, etc.).

I was talking about this past season.

Either way. The fact that some people are gloating that our PG's asst/to ratio is .13 better than Ray Allen's says a lot about Francis. How about you factor in that Allen keeps improving in this department, while Steve keeps regressing?

I'll give you the rebounding thing though. Steve definitely is better at rebounding the ball, but I'd much rather have Ray Allen's 5 rebounds versus Francis' 6 rebounds... Ray might actually create something out of the rebound, like a fastbreak opportunity.

Nah, we can get better value than that. What about Shaw "The Human Blocking Machine" Bradley?

Don't constipated people typically struggle with the ability to spew crap? Perhaps you meant an Anna Nicole Smith juiced up with laxatives.
