thats the point. He cares about optics unrelated to winning football games. As long as the team is constructed with devout and God fearing men winning will be secondary.

He would prefer to win, I have no doubt about that, but he wants to do it his way, and, unfortunately, he’s a god damn moron. I don’t think he’s a bad guy, but he’s way over his head when it comes to running an NFL business. Or probably even a snow cone stand for that matter...

I think he thinks he knows how to win, and that all the moves being made to instill a new culture will lead to winning, but I don't think it will.

No. And it's not even like they're trying to hide it. They only care about money.

Everyone can see it but the McNairs.

The fans and city of Houston deserve better than these incompetent owners.

Every owner of every team cares about winning. To what degree is the question. Some obviously care more than others and will do ANYTHING to win. Others care about winning, but aren't willing to do WHATEVER IT TAKES to get it done.

This whole thing kind of reminds me of the Enron fiasco with Cal playing the part of Ken Lay, Caserio playing the part of Jeff Skilling and Easterby playing the part of Andy Fastow.

Cal's probably not a bad person, but just trusts people too much and has too many people with ulterior motives whispering in his ear - like Lay. Caserio is the guy making all the wrong moves and driving the company into the ground - like Skilling. And Easterby is the guy really pulling the strings behind the scenes - like Fastow.

Sadly, i think the outcome will eventually end up the same.

It's been brought to my attention that Eddie feels snubbed. I appreciate his passion. The desire to do things the right way will lead to multiple championships of the heart. Trust me, when have I ever lied or failed.

Okay, now that's just arguing semantics. Lol.

Of course he wants to go to the Super Bowl. The questions is, does he care to do what it takes to get there? The answer is, he probably wants to, but he won't bend to do anything that is outside of his philosophy of the gospel to get there.

So basically, he's going to do things his way, and if he wins that way, great.

    So, basically it's a no.

Yep. This exactly. He's just a moron that think it will just eventually happen for him. Until then, he'll cash the checks.

The only way to get rid of Cal is with coke, prostitutes encouraging him to say racial slurs, and a hidden camera.

I’m sure he does, as in he’d prefer it to losing. But he doesn’t make decisions with winning as the first priority.

This isn't the right question, honestly. Caring about winning, and actually having the aptitude and understanding of HOW TO DO IT are two completely different things. Cal can CARE about winning all ****ing day, but the problem is he's completely inept at doing so. The real question is DOES CAL UNDERSTAND HOW TO WIN?? The answer to that is a resounding NO.

Walk into a room and ask a bunch of athletes (in any sport) "who in here wants to be great"?

You don't think EVERYONE in the room will raise their hand?

HUGE difference between saying you want to be great (or to win) and putting in the work to do so while the others (who claim they want to be great or to win) are off doing other things.

    Talk vs actions.

EVERYTHING about Cal's actions exude it's ALL TALK!!!

So don't spew this BS that every owner wants to win.

I don't think that. I think they want to win in THEIR way to prove an evangelical way of running a football team is RIGHTEOUS. For Easterby, it is all about EGO and that his way of faith is correct.

It's okay to want a righteous football team but their way is just off in how they're doing it neither one of them seem to have a clue about what to do.

Cal is like a QAnon follower (Easterby is Q) who still believes Trump is going to come back in a couple of weeks and take back the presidency. He's profoundly stupid, believes that he's right, and there's no hope of changing his mind.

Cal thinks that he cares about winning and is convinced that this is the correct way. Most people with an IQ above 80 know that he's a fool.

Some QAnon supporters realized that they'd been duped as Biden was being sworn in and no law enforcement was swooping in to arrest the "pedophiles". How long will it take Cal to realize that he's been duped by Easterby? It has to happen at some point, right?

Yes, he said his goal is to win a championship. What more do you need?

At this point I would LOVE to see these assholes (Cal and Easterby) go 0 -16. It may be the only way things change.
