On offense, yes. On defense, no. Looks like he needs to gain 20 lbs ASAP.

he was putting up all star level type productivity. He's not a actual superstar atm. He has to do a whole lot more before actually being labeled that and achieve much more. The league isn't full of superstars. There's only a handful of those

    All Star level.

Maybe a few All NBA 3rd Team votes level.

    Not superstar level.

Maybe 20 years ago when Tim Duncan was doing it but scoring/boarding/pace are way up since then.

Even though Woods is definitely better than Giannis, I am not sure I would call him a superstar just yet.

That makes Westbrook, who averaged a triple double for the season an Elite and historic superstar.

Then are you questioning the media?

The same media you ALWAYS give the benefit of the doubt to?

Or are you saying those stats that the media have agreed to is inaccurate or no longer should be THE criteria to determine elite production for bigs?

Any way you respond will be contrary to your stances in the past. You have always argued the side of the media EXCEPT for this topic.

    Why is that durv?

There isn't a single credible person at ESPN who'd say that Wood is a "superstar", much less at the level of Embiid, Jokic, and Giannis.

The point of that infographic is to show how impressive Christian Wood's production has been in the early part of this season. Not to say that he's now officially a superstar or on their level. I mean ... duh.

Wood has only had a 1 single digit points performance this season.

He has been consistently efficient all season.

So you admit his performance has been at the level or BETTER than those "superstars"???

Is that not the definition of superstar caliber or level?

Wood would have been an all star before getting hurt.

He was scoring over 22 points a game, rebounding at a high rate, blocking shots, hitting 3’s and all world level efficient.

That is a perennial all star level type of production.

I don’t like using superstar because to me there are like 7-8 real superstars that are year after year with 2-3 others that dip in and out of superstar level.

He isn’t good enough to be the top player on a championship team... but again I can only think of 6-8 guys that are.

But only FIVE bigs are at this level.

    20+ points, 10+ rebounds, 55% FG

FIVE - Giannis, Embiid, Jokic, Sabonis

    And Wood

    That's it.

Only Wood & Embiid have a TS better than 63%

Only Wood is 80% at the rim AND 42% from 3P.

To my way of thinking, he's become an All Star caliber player. Not upper tier, but good enough to make the back end of the team.

    Beyond this....

    As yet to be determined.

Harden could have made him a 30 ppg player potentially. Biggest disappointment with Wall os that they have not been able to do that yet.
