Ya'll better put some respekt on Gordon's name. It was actually plain to see. Can I start chest thumping now?
Gordon at his peak was better. But he has been wildly inconsistent in recent years. Oladipo is slightly better overall, IMO, and of course younger. I think Oladipo would be good to play Gordon's current role, 6th man scorer off the bench, rather than a starter alongside Wall. If I were Silas, I'd swap the two. Wall needs a better shooter next to him. The second unit needs a more versatile scorer. Is Gordon worth his contract? Probably not. But for the same amount, I'd take Dipo.
EG has always shown "flash's", it has always been a consistency thing with him. It usually comes down to him playing with some sort of nagging injury at some point. This doesn't tell me anything new about EG being undervalued, it just tells me that Dipo is not worth the super Max.
I would agree with this, but there were reports of the Rockets and Dipo mutually agreeing to see how 15-20 games go with the Rockets, they both have mutual interest in his value being as high as possible, not sure what it would look like having him come of the bench. I don't think their contracts will be the same, I believe Victor declined $113m fully guaranteed already and was looking for more. Kinda crazy if you ask me for a guy coming off of significant injuries.
I'm not so sure about that. Riles is probably starting to sweat given how poorly this season has started in one of the last seasons they will have peak Dragic, peak Jimmy and cheap Robinson and Nunn. Especially now that beal doesn't look like he is forcing his way out of washington and to miami (if he is traded I think NO & Philly have better trade assets). I think Dipo is the best thing that's available atm for miami. Desperate teams make great trade partners.
No way. Dipo is better than Herro right now. Especially on defense. Herro is so overrated around here. No way Rockets should be giving picks WITH Oladipo. Rockets get the picks or no trade.
The only thing i think that may hold back MIA from including herro is that oladipo is a FA after this yr
Love Ariza but he is not a fit on a rebuild. He may be bought out and Nets, Heat and 76ers would all be in frenzy to sign him.
What’s holding riley back from including herro in a trade is Bradley Beal. if he moves herro he just moved his centerpiece for a big trade. I’m not high on herro as others but selling him for oladipo and dipo’s uncertainty regarding his health is selling way short. not saying they won’t be interested in Vic but not at the expense of herro. While beal isn’t available now or even at the deadline, he will be available whether it’s the summer or the deadline next season but I’d bet dollars to donuts he demands out this offseason when he’s in a contract year and can use leverage to get where he wants
