I have not been impressed with Dipo myself.
Drive to the hoop, fall down, lose ball.
Drive to the hoop, throw ball at hoop, miss.
Start driving, pull up at the FT line, shoot a 80mph line drive, hit front of rim.

VERY Westbrook-ish. I kept saying last night that Dipo went full Westbrook.

It just sucks to see how bad Dipo is at iso play. And yet our offense right now features "iso Dipo" as a big part of its ongoing execution. I'd rather run the offense through literally anyone else right now than watch him do his iso thing which usually results in a bad miss or errant pass. His turnover numbers do not tell the full story as the other guys regularly make acrobatic catches or battle for stupid passes in traffic and end up saving 2-4 turnovers a games.

I notice Dipo is good with John Wall but not by himself( the Bulls and Suns game he could not help us to win, but when John Wall played in the 2nd Mavs game we won....I would trade Dipo and PJ for Herro or Lavine or Van Vleet from Toronto....Beal is not going anywhere?

Great player coming off a significant injury.

    Be patient.

Dipo to Miami for Herro and matching Salary. Maybe a pick thrown in there to us as well.

keeps our youth movement going and Herro has finals experience.

    That's highly debatable.

Most of those guys you named are considered overpaid and not worth the contract.

Trade him for a pick and keep that cap flexibility.

Wall really helps bend the defense and makes it easier for guys like Dipo, Gordon, and Tate to operate.

Dipo's pecking order on a contending team is a 2b or 3. He's good but smart teams who just lost their franchise player shouldn't sign him.

Jamaal Murray is guaranteed to be making the max the next 5 years, but he is not guaranteed to be worth max and hasn't ever put up All NBA or Allstar numbers, much less MAX Player numbers. He will be making 31 mil next year, and there is no guarantee he will ever be any better than the player he is right now. As a matter of fact his numbers are pretty stable over the last 3 years with not much improvement. His current play is comparable to the current play of Oladipo, and like Oladipo he has not shown himself to be a number one or number 2 option on a championship contender.

Victor Oladipo's contract is not set for next season and can be anywhere between 4 mil and 32 mil. We can assume he will be making close to what Murray makes, but it is not guaranteed. His future contract length is not guaranteed. His yearly raises are also not guaranteed. Worst case it will be similar to Murray's deal.

Jamaal Murray is a guy who has never made an All-Star game and wont this year, but is making $7 mil more this year than Oladipo who has similar numbers this year and a history of All-NBA level play. People are willing to gamble on Murray because he has the potential to get better, but he also has the potential to stagnate, regress, get injured, or get exposed. Why does Oladipo not have the potential to improve after coming off a major injury? And if it is so certain he can't improve, why is it so certain he will get a max deal?

Age doesn't have any relation to skills. Young scrubs are not any better than old scrubs, especially if they are more expensive.
Karl Anthony Towns is 7 years younger than Durant, but I wouldn't take him over KD
Andrew Wiggins is 11 years younger than Lebron, but I'll take Lebron

again, Jamal Murray is 5 years younger, so yeah, everyone would rather have him than Oladipo, especially when they’re already similar level players like u claim

Idc if Murray is currently making 7 mil more than Dipo this year, he won’t be next year after Dipo gets his raise so that’s not really relevant

Dipo turned down 25 mil/yr from Indiana and is in a weak free agent class...he’s about to get bank

except u claim Murray and Dipo are similar, yet one is 5 years younger and doesn’t have the injury history, so that whole last paragraph of yours isn’t even helping your case

Murray and Dipo is not the same as Towns and KD or Wiggins and Bron...c’mon

KD>>>>>>Towns...Bron>>>>>>Wiggins...none of that applies to Murray and Oladipo...

Not sure why Oladipo chose to dominate the ball. He looks to be a much better catch & shoot player than isolation or PnR.

The Rockets could potentially trade anyone and everyone. They also could potentially not trade anyone.

    THIS IS A DEVELOPING STORY.

The Rockets are interested in moving a redundant player on a large expiring contract???
