Reading in CNNSI online, I read: After repeated tardiness and errant behavior during the regular season, Rider was left off the playoff roster, although he continued practicing with the team. He recently told Kupchak and coach Phil Jackson that he wants to return and offered to play on the Lakers' summer league team. Whats this Summer League business all about? I assume the Rockets have summer league as well? Who the heck do teams play? ------------------ mr0ily's Shot in the Dark:Mock Draft 2001
The Rockets play in the Rocky Mountain Review in Salt Lake City. That's where we first glimpsed the brilliance of Dan Langhi. ESPN2 did televise some of the games last summer; they are usually on in the afternoon. ------------------ "How far you go in life depends on you being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak. Because someday you will have been all of these."
They will also be playing in the L.A. summer league. And your humble correspondent will be there watching games during the second week in July.
I'll be at the Rocky Mountain Review, taking photos of the Rockets' Joe Johnson and Steven Hunter ripping it up in league play. Should be fun!
Achebe - Hey, we should meet up and do the write-ups... Don't know if slcgriff will be there again, but we'll see. It was pretty fun last year... ------------------ "There are three kinds of lies: Lies, Damned Lies, and STATISTICS..." - Mark Twain -
