And he’s such a phony, not everyone believes him. :D

According to multiple sources, Easterby has reached out to several players this week with a personal plea. Often through tears, he’s shared accounts of his receiving death threats and his family’s having to relocate to a hotel. He implored these players to support him to prominent Texans, like Watson, or publicly, these sources say.

“I have called players to see how they’re doing and check in, per normal process,” Easterby says. “I have not asked anyone to speak to Cal or Deshaun on my behalf. I ask players to tell the truth when asked.” He adds that, for security reasons, he cannot address SI’s question about death threats.

At least one person Easterby called did not take him at face value. And, as one longtime staffer noted, there are some people worried for Easterby’s safety and others who doubted him, which, to the staffer, reflects how his credibility has eroded in Houston and the culture of mistrust the once-celebrated character coach has stoked.

Does anybody honestly think in 20 years that we will look back on this and think... “Man, we got through some tough times early on, but they couldn’t have won it all without Jack...”

Or, will we think “WTF was going on there?”

Is he having an affair with Cal or something? Who would stick around for this? Read the town dude, we don't want you here. Leave.

His brand of people have a tendency to greatly exaggerate the threat against them because their primary MO is to play victim. Maybe he's had death threats - but until I see it reported to law enforcement and have the threats verified and properly investigated, I'm going to assume his idea of a death threat differs greatly from... most non-persecuted humans.

Yeah, I never want to take death threats lightly, especially considering how serious Houstonians take their football.... but if he thinks this is bad, just wait and see what those crazies do if they actually trade Deshaun away....

One thing to think of is the infamous "inmates running the prison" quote that Bob McNair made before he passed. If Cal believes that even a little bit, firing Jack because of Deshaun (inmate #4) and other players is starting a precedence that they don't like. How dare an inmate tell me who to hire or fire. We run this prison, I mean organization. Nobody tells me how to run it.

    Except Jack.

$3 million dollars a year. That's why he is sticking around...lol.

However, the Easterby will take care of itself...if he is actually getting desperate.

Even if you love Easterby and he is actually a good guy, you have no business overseeing an organization if he still gets a paycheck from you. His presence is causing severe harm wether or not he is doing what people think he is.

If he is a problem, and manipulative, etc etc. it is a much easier decision to make, Unless, you are the one he is manipulating.

Either way, Cal is a moron.

So much to unpack. Right on par with the ' growing up playing with little keke' stories from hearing his act on stage.
More of a freak show than a youth pastor.
How a billionaire would find this guy charming is beyond me .
Unless it's rodeo time in Houston, I rarely see huge belt buckles.

Why can't "Kyle " just be a normal owner and release his tension at an Asian spa.

That's one way to get Jack away from the organization... take one for the team, "Kyle!"

The closer to Easter we get the more powerful he becomes.
