I also suggested Thaddeus Young. Getting Young and Hill are moves to get quality vets to go into the playoffs with. I think the Rockets could be a big thorn in the Lakers side if they make those trades.

Both of them being under contract for next year means that they would be able to flip them to potential contenders in the offseason to recoup assets. Hell, they might even end up with better assets than they give up to acquire them.

I like Jones and want them to sign him long term. I just don’t think he’ll be better playoff option this season than Hill.

I would 100000% trade Oladipo for Dallas’ 2021 unprotected pick, *IF* Dallas is still near the bottom of the standings by deadline.

Used to be a fan of Oubre.

But he may not be smart enough or too selfish for this team.

I didn't think I could root for Dallas to lose any harder. If we had their pick the schadenfreude would be off the charts.

I'm going back in on a Lavine/OPJ trade. And by trading Tucker for a 1st rounder (to someone like the Nugs) we may only have to give up something like the Bucks or Wizards 1st round pick.

Lavine is a flamethrower on offense. He's a genuine triple threat scorer. He's a better passer than Oladipo too.
Oladipo has him on defense no doubt, but at this point I'm convinced that our defense can hold top 10 for the rest of the season.
OPJ can help with a lot of the defense issues left behind by Tucker, is younger, bigger and will be looking for less money (I'd say around 10-12m) next season.

    Something like:
    Rockets get Lavine, OPJ
    Heat get Oladipo
Nuggets get Tucker, BMac, Felicio and KZ Okpala
Bulls get Gary Harris, Olynyk, Precious, Exum, Kurucs (waive), nuggets 2021 FRP, Bucks 2022 FRP, 2 2nds from the Heat

Also opens up our bench and in this scenario we keep Gordon.

    Wall/Jones
    Lavine/Gordon/KPJ
    Tate/House/Nwaba
    OPJ/Brown/KMJ
    Wood/Boogie

The lesser of their two picks, middling prospect, and expirings would be a good a starting point.

Young's high assist number are from DHO (dribble hand offs) to Lavine who launches as soon as he gets it.

Rockets need better passing 4 than Young.

    And Young is 32 already.

Give me AG instead. Better defender, better scorer, better passer.

Nuggets refused to trade MPJ for Harden, you expect them to trade him for a bunch of role players?

Bulls is also getting screwed here. Lavine is a young star averaging 26/5/5 on 51/42/88 shooting, why would they trade him for this?

This trade is way too good for us, completely unrealistic.

Do not trade Dipo to Heat.

We need MIA to keep sucking for draft reasons.

Instead move Dipo to Pelicans. NOP is trying to unload Lonzo and Reddick. I'd prefer their FRP anyway.

Re-route Lonzo and Reddick to CLE for Larry Nance while Kevin Love + Cavs FRP goes to ORL and Magic send Rockets AG + Mo Bamba.

    https://tradenba.com/trades/_3Bin9bvo

Make trade 2/22 or break up into 2 trades and send Dellavedova to Magic for heavily protected 2nd on 2/22.

    6'4 Wall/6'5 Brown
    6'3 EGo/6'4 Porter
    6'7 Nance/6'5 Nwaba
    6'8 AG/6'4 Tate/6'5 Tucker
    6'10 Wood/7'0 Bamba/6'10 Cousins

*Trade Tucker for FRP or to 76ers for Thybulle + SRP
*Open roster spot to sign Gerald or another player at trade deadline.

I would like to trade for Kennrich Williams. I love how he controlled us today and defended.
