No reason for Raps to trade away Boucher, Tuck ain't landing that.

Plus, Boucher makes CWood look THICC in comparison. I remember watching him in college, he had great defensive instincts but I thought his age / extreme skinniness would hold him back from sniffing the league, cool to see him doing well.

Wood is too skinny to hold big C's, we need a long term fit next to him, Cousins is nice but he aint it. Tought thing is, I think we should really keep our 5 out offense, the draft is probably the correct route to search for our future big because trading for a guy who fits all the criteria of what we need will be very hard.

Every team is trying to get AG on the cheap.

Even if he's out 4-6 weeks with ankle sprain.

AG would be a great fit next to Wood.

So would Jerami Grant, James Johnson or Larry Nance but their respective teams value them too much.

The more that I see PJ and Oladipo play with this team the less I want to trade them. I say they should extend them both and go after Thaddeus Young and George Hill. AG is the perfect fit but the Rockets won’t be able to get him without sacrificing significant assets.

    The Trade
CHI IN: Exum, Poirier and the Portland pick via Hou
    PHI IN: McLemore
OKC IN: Kurucs and Detroit pick via Hou
HOU IN: Young and Hill (Harden tpe)

It might take another frp to OKC bc idk how much value the Detroit pick really has but I think the framework makes sense for all teams.

    Wall/Hill/Jones
    Oladipo/Gordon/Brown/Porter
    Tate/House/Nwaba
    Tucker/Young/Martin
    Wood/Cousins

Unless Hill is a legendary PnR/lob initiator, why so hot to trade for him?

I'd rather develop Mason Jones instead.

He shoots 40% from 3, he’s a good defender and he’s under contract for 1 more season after this one.

I like Jones and hope they keep developing him, but I’d rather have Hill getting PT in the playoffs.

How so? Adding a current all star who's young enough to fit Woods timeline for a couple expirings and a buncha picks?

Thats what you use those picks for. Not giving up 3 for Jarrett Allan

Woods and Towns are kinda redundant for 1.
Those picks can be used for much better improvements for this team, who knows when a star will become available.

Outside of Wood, that was my favorite underrated signing of the year in Chris Boucher and would love him on this Rockets team.

Mase is over 50% 3ball shooter and much cheaper.

Hill is good player acquisition when Harden was still on Rockets.

Just dont think he is good fit for what Stone is building, especially if it requires spending assets.

Rather not keep trading for more guards, this team needs 3-D forwards taller than 6'7 IMO.

And KAT is an even worse defender than Wood.

Playing them together is nonsensical for a team identity built on elite defense.

Mason plays like an off guard rather than a back up PG. I do want him on a guaranteed contract asap.

    So did James Harden.

And we still have Porter in the wings.

2 guys whose games compare to the Beard, a SG once upon time.

Rockets need bigger players next to Wood.

If Hill can PnR or throw the lob to Wood better than Wall or Dipo then I might reconsider.

Otherwise I'd rather roll with Mase.

Wall hasn't run the P/ R with Wood so far. I don't think Dipo should be retained, but I admit, I don't know Hill's contract.

I agree our biggest concern is not having a bigger, tall veteran to pair up with Wood.

This is the reason that Heat are hot for Dipo again.

Also Beal has publicly come out and said he did not want to be traded.

Gotta roll this trade out again. After 2/22.

    https://tradenba.com/trades/u76GkM6zs

    NOP: Oladipo, House
CLE: Lonzo, Reddick, Aminu, Kurucs + 9M TE
ORL: Love, BMac, Dellavedova + Cavs FRP + 2M TE
HOU: AG, Nance, Bamba + Pelicans FRP

*Pelicans add 2× All Star & two 2 way players in Dipo + House
*Cavs add more young talent in Lonzo that complements Sexton, Garland, Okoro, Prince, JA + 3P sniper in Reddick + dump Love contract
*Magic dump 2 injured players + 1 expiring player already out of rotation + add two 3P snipers + vet PG + FRP
*Rockets increase pace, length, disruptive defense, rebounding and overall ruggedness with additions of AG, Nance + rim protection with Bamba

    6'4 Wall/6'5 Brown/6'4 Mase
    6'3 EGo/6'4 Porter
    6'7 Nance/6'5 Nwaba
    6'8 AG/6'4 Tate/6'5 Tucker
    6'10 Wood/7'0 Bamba/6'10 Boogie

*Sign Gerald Green with Kurucs roster spot or convert Mason Jones and sign 6'9 Ray Spalding from Vipers to 2 way.

*Tucker for FRP at trade deadline also opens up another roster spot. Would not complain if Tucker for Thybulle + SRP either.

Rebounding is critical to the success of this Rockets team.
